A friend wanted me to leave this message for you regarding the Lodge's RSS Feed functionality. He only discovered the website recently and, while he has little free time to become a Lodge forumer just yet, he's been visiting your articles every now and then.

Awesome site! I love it.
However, I only have one hiccup. You see, I like to follow my favorite sites using RSS Feeds, and of course that means your site is on my feeds list. However, it seems that your web feeds are only displaying excerpts. I'm not entirely sure about the technology involved, but I did notice that you are using Google's Feedburner. I do believe there is a way that you can show all content of your articles on each web feed. You might have to do a little playing with the Feedburner settings, or if possible, you can switch to Atom 1.0, I think Feedburner actually has that option. Atom is much more dynamic than RSS.

I configure it for excerpts so that people will actually visit the site. While I can appreciate people wanting to keep up strictly through RSS, I prefer they come directly to the site if they're interested in the article, as it helps me maintain rankings. The traffic that I've built up here is what makes all of this possible. It costs me nearly $100/mo. just to keep the site online, so I need to earn a little pocket money from ads in order to keep the lights on. 😉
The advertisers that I feature on the site are not represented in the feeds, so therefore in the interest of keeping them happy, I like to get people 'to the site'.
Your friend's is the first comment I've seen in regards to this, but I'll definitely keep it noted. I may switch things up a bit in the coming weeks as I'm tuning things around here, so I'll keep this request in mind.
Gar, thanks for the reply and the consideration. 🙂 It makes sense to have people come to the site so the ads can have views, anyway, since you did mention it cost you around $1k a year to maintain the content.
