I like MM the best, even though I tried both.
Survival was rather annoying with those frost trap procs and having to watch all those DoTs, while MM was pure dps and I could focus in kiting their *ss. >:D
I even heard that if in top gear, MM does 2% more damage. But if in rather average Cata greens/blues, Survival is 20% more dps.
Of course, this is from my PvP standpoint. 😉
After 4.1, SV will still be doing more AoE DPS while MM should be considerably further ahead on single target DPS followed by SV then BM.
This is strictly speaking based on theoretical math- I've not had a chance to look at World of Logs since the patch.

Still testing things, but when running the new heroic instances I found my dps was lower if I tried aoeing stuff. I was running 11k and then switch back to single target dpsing and jumped back up to my usual 14-15k. I havent gotten in a raid yet since the patch, when I can compare to our guilds SV Hunter.

I have found that I really need to keep a close eye on boss health and speed of decline. If the boss dies during your hard cast-time, you might as well have slung a few arcanes into him. I usually only hardcast aimed when boss is above 40% health (or thereabouts).
I can officially confirm that MM is OP compared to Surv. Haha dropped a 50k aimed shot crit today on a fully vicious geared Shammy. Twas epic.
I am caving to peer pressure and ditching BM (for now) as off-spec to raid as MM. I've read the shot selection and MASSIVE single-shot dmg potential of MM is almost required on at least one of the new Firelands bosses.
SO, my MM friends, I think I can read enough to figure out shot priority etc, but answer me this, what changes do I need to make to my gear to switch from SV to MM?
Also curious to know what, if anything, you guys use to record your Target Dummy test logs.

Looking at your armory page, I would say you are probably pretty much set to go as far as gear.
For me MM is mostly about maintaining dps, like if i crit 70k+ my dps is usually 20k and it stays that way, but if i crit 40K it starts at 12k and stays that way, same mob or boss and it stays like that, idk MM is preferable for alot of ppl
Just for the record, I hate hate hate MM, ditched it again for BM to PvP with and I'm having a blast doing that. I more than hold my own raiding as SV so unless Bliz changes things drastically, I'll likely never go MM again.
