New pets:
Just tried to tame the mew spirit beast in firelands and myself and 4 other hunter got 1 shotted for almost 500k damage each! Any hints?
Welcome to the Lodge, Grammieof9. It sounds like you stumbled upon Magria or Ankha. Take off all your armor before you tame. Damage increases exponentially based on the armor you're wearing.

LOL yes Blizz has brought naked tames to WoW...you can still wear a ranged weapon or other weapons just no other armour. Tabards are ok as they dont have any armour value. Buff your haste with Basilisk liverdogs and an Elixir of mighty speed and it should go much better for you next time. Welcome to the lodge!
I used equipment manager to make a naked set, called it Nekkid.
