As some of you may know Hunter pet experience is horrible right now and this is what I've been able to figure out.

It's so close to the release that I don't see blizzard changing anything nor are they even acknowledging that their is a problem on the WoW forums.
It takes a level 79 hunter 1/3 of the time to level a beast from 76-79 then it does for a level 80 to level a beast from 77-78. It seems like a cheap shot but the blue's are ignoring all posts about this most likely because after the expansion is released they will no longer hear any complaints from us.
I do still feel a little bit salted about this because I myself personally have only 1 pet at level 80 and it's a wolf and now I have a collection of good spirit beasts stuck at 77 going into the new expansion.
But, I figured you all would like to know what's going on and that's its not technically a "Bug" It's more of an oversight.
A couple things from my perspective:
1) Thank God I tamed all my SBs earlier in the expansion and leveled them all to 80 as I plan on leveling with one.
2) Now that I finally got Krush (nka DinosaurNeil) I am saddened by the news that he will sit until such time as I can actually get a decent return on the xp trying to lvl him. It is going to be interesting to see how the pets level in the expansion.
3) I had planned on running one pet till it leveled and then another, etc. until I leveld myself and then start the process over. If this doesn't change, though, I guess my choice of pet will be somewhat tougher as I want to make sure that, if I can only keep one pet leveled with me, its one I want to take into the dungeons.
Ah well....this much thought on a Monday morning hurts my brain. =P
Well the thing is once we hit the level 80+ cata zone's the pet experience will return to normal standard's so you won't have to only use one pet.. In all honesty you could probably level 10 beast's from 77-80 by the time you hit level 81.
Ok - that explains why my tiger seems to be stuck at 77. I ran 19 randoms on Saturday trying to get rep to get my trike and Chet wouldn't blip.
