Yes, I flew through leveling as fast as I could without completely neglecting my family (tho my laundry is backed up beyond belief!). I'm not much of a "lore" enthusiest, and I really just want to get to the raiding! Cried like a baby when I replaced my Heroic ICC gear with greens and blues, and made 85 the other night. Currently trying my hand at randoms, and am a few iLvl points away from heroics.
I have decided that AotF is not really useful in PvE, but I am really having a blast with Camo! Ninja style is really fun =) Still on the fence about Cobra Shot for MM, I find the refresh isnt enough to justify the cast time, tho the lack of a CD is nice compared to Chim.
But alas, I thought it just made sense that I would see a DPS boost being a lvl 85 with a 321 iLvl... NOPE! I am actually doing less DPS than I was at 80. Has anyone figured out if rotation has changed with Cata??
Just for S&G 8 of us from my guild decided to stroll into ICC last night, see what it was like at 85... yea, not a lot easier btw, incase you were wondering LOL. Even with 130k health!! which is insane, 120k on my pet! But none of us really saw a jump in DPS except the pally tank who was smoking the DPS meter... yea, the tank... /sigh.
CC is an awesome concept, but i'm finding the trap launcher idea to be poorly executed. The time it takes me to click the launcher, choose a trap, then place the damn thing, is just ridiculous.
I want to go back to 80 lol. Hopefully I will enjoy it more when we are able to raid, but for now im just kinda lost. About to switch to the DK for awhile, atleast she won't have 45 min dungeon Q's!

Isn't there an adaptive difficulty setting in place at ICC? I don't know what exactly it's called…
Also, my Tier 10 is still intact. I've been using it for questing — too stubborn to replace them with greens and blues. Well, I do have a training set: all haste. One time I accidentally left it on and as expected I wasn't doing as much dps as with my original gear. I have changed my weapons though — my general rule: no replacement if I'm giving up a gem slot (no matter how tempting the agility and stamina are) 🙂 Yeeah, stubborn.
As MM cobra shot shouldn't be in your rotation what so ever. (this whole statement is via vent convos with me and Indo btw so credit goes to him *BUTTHEAD*) But as MM you want to use Steady sthot to keep up MMM and your aimed shot procs. MM also gives armor piercing in the tree somewhere.
Beast Master will want to use cobra instead of Steady because it's less likely a mob has less resistance then armor.
Survi will also want to use cobra for the concept that it's elemental dmg (nature) and so then mastery comes into play.
On another note. I also have been hesitant to give up my heroic ICC gear, I die a little inside when it comes up and the item is way better. *see there goes a little of my heart on the floor* But I am excited to get her to top level and see what I can do on my own =D
I haven't let go of my Heroic ICC gear either - just can't bring myself to replace that gear with gem slots for a green. Although I did quest in PvP gear last night for awhile thanks to 3 Ally that decided to just sit and turn it into a gank fest. Some day I will own those 3. Beuford
Hit 82 last night and need to visit the trainer to pick up Cobra shot along with figuring out where to put the talent points.
I ran into a slight problem last night with regards to holding on to my ICC raiding gear, my gear level wasn't high enough to do the higher level instances. So I had to break down and replace a lot of the ICC gear. I shed a tear or two.

rofl. There's a really sweet chest piece in Hyjal that will amke you easily give up your T10. It looks *hawt* as well as beeing geeked out on stats.

Malice, I took cobra out. tested it for a while, but as a new 82, am outdpsing with just basic rotations.
I picked up a bow last night in a random (the only one I have found on Hyjal) that made giving up my ICC Lady D one ok and am undecided on some footwear.
I took Cobra out of my rotation for the moment as well. A level 85 hunter said Cobra puts out more dmg than steady shot once you have levelled so we'll see. Right now I am about 1/2 way through 82.
Side note: the bears on the trampoline - so much fun in addition to the "Bounce" achievement! Jousting, love the pet but geez that was hard.
Cobra has replaced Steady Shot for me, and even with Steady glyphed, I'm doing more damage with Cobra. I am basically 84 right now, gotta turn in a few more quests :), but I have had not significant, but definitely an increase in performance just using Cobra instead of Steady, I haven't even used it once in an instance lately it seems, I'm thinking of replacing my Steady Shot glyph and putting something else in there as it's not getting any use right now.
I hear ya on gear upgrades...it just feels dirty.

You could try to pick on me, but how well it would work... Remains to be seen 😛 Especially if I decide to get drunk 😀
