Major props to Dashkz of Drakkari<\/strong> for rounding up 7 of the new rares<\/a><\/strong><\/em> in under two days! Dashkz managed to tame all of the rare lava spiders, plus Skarr and Karkin — all within about 36 hours!<\/p>\n

Like… holy s**t… that’s freaking amazing! Not to mention, Drakkari is a medium pop., PvP server.<\/p>\n

I lucked out and picked up Ankha! \ud83d\ude42 Last night I made it a point to log out in the Regrowth. So, I logged on and *BOOM*!! NPCscan went off, giving me my usual, “OMGAPET?!” heart attack. Lo and behold, I saw my lovely tiger prancing between the trees. I guess he was waiting for me? \ud83d\ude09 Next, I switched into my nekkid taming equipment set and swooped down. Gotta admit I fumbled a bit though. I was spazzing out and couldn’t find my tame on my action bar, so I had to open up my spellbook. A few nerve-wracking moments later, Ankha was mine. \ud83d\ude00 What made things even scarier was that there was a dwarf hunter literally RIGHT NEXT TO ME as I was taming. I was scared he’d try to kill me and tame the tiger. Thank god all went well! Now Ankha’s been rechristened Siegfried. If I find Magria, I’ll name him Roy, and we’ll go around making magic happen all around Azeroth! Lol, sorry, that was corny but I had to! xP<\/em><\/p>\n

Spent about 20 minutes trying to tame him, cost 58 gold in repairs. I had to compete with about 6 other hunters. We all kept dying and failing. I thought I would try waiting right under where they all were trying. So if one were to aggro him and got killed, I would be waiting with Freezing Trap. That bird has a lot of punch, and after fall damage had no problem killing every single hunter. So it ended working like a champ. This was around 11:30pm PST (6\/28). Had to be one of the hardest tames because he was right there, and all those hunters…<\/em><\/p>\n

Solix was very easy to tame because the tunnel is a good playground for a PVP server.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kirix is really hard to tame. A bunch of Alliance were camping the Pheonix plateau in Molten… so it was really, Really Tough. After I died approximately 15 times with all my armor yellow and red, I finally tame this awesome spider :o)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Kirix is impossible to tame except for one way. You have to grab a core hound, do a mount jump to the island next to his sprinting grounds, (Without the super jump buff). Then, pull out your corehound. Put on aspect of the wild to avoid the aoe one shotting you, bloodlust, dismiss it, and as soon as Kirix comes around, pop deterrence and tame at the same time. No screenshots for the moment, but I managed to tame Kirix today. I logged on and was jumping up the steps trying to get to Skarr’s spawnpoint to camp, but kept dying. While all ghosty, someone said the green spider spawn had popped – and my corpse was right next to him. Ran back, tried to tame, got my butt handed to me, and died again. Came back and found more corpses, looked up how to get him, and tried to jump to the floating platform nearest him. I missed due to lag and fell right next to him – started spamming tame. I have no idea what happened, because I was one hit away from dead and only halfway done with the tame when he suddenly shrunk and became mine. I hadn’t planned on going after any of the spiders, but he’s pretty awesome – I think I might name him Charlotte \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

I camped Deth’Tilac a lot of the day. He is definitely a tough tame! About 7 people showed up because it is hard keeping a low profile while kiting a giant spider. Most of them were hunters. They attempted to steal her, however, I tamed Deth’Tilac. My friend found Ahnka, and Anthriss was simply sitting at his spawn point. Happy hunting!<\/em><\/p>\n

Deth was an absolute nightmare to tame for me. I was camped out at his location for 2 weeks and I saw him at least 8 or 9 times in that time frame. EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to tame him Alliance would show up and kill me and either steal the tame or mess it up resulting in Deth dying and NOBODY getting the tame.<\/em><\/p>\n

I was just about ready to give up, but I logged in this morning around 7am to find Deth up and nobody around. After failing to kite for a few attempts to get the hang of it (I absolutely STINK at kiting and I didn’t get much chance to really get the hang of it the other times he was up because I was always ganked right as I started to kite) and a Horde hunter trying to steal it, an Alliance Mage showed up in the middle of my kiting. At this point I was thinking, “Great here we go again, I wasted too much time failing so now I am going to get ganked again.” To my surprise the Mage didn’t in fact gank me, but she actually helped me by slowing the spider repeatedly with frost bolts. Also, she must have had some sort of NPC with her because “Hyjal Druid” was casting entangling roots on the thing making the tame even THAT much easier. So between her Frost Bolts and the occasional entangling roots from that Hyjal Druid (wherever it came from) the tame was pretty much cake after that.<\/em><\/p>\n

Honestly I lucked out, this has got to be the hardest tame in the game if you’re on a high pop PVP server (like I am). Especially if your faction is outnumbered like it seems Horde is on my server. You’ll get help from the opposing faction maybe 1% of the time and killed by them the other 99% of the time. Either way, now I FINALLY got this tame after a LOT and I do mean a LOT of trying.<\/em><\/p>\n

Absolutely amazing. Logged on at 4Am EST, did my dailies to get to molten front, was camping the site in the video and then decided to go see if karkin was up. I see skarr on my map but no npc scan or silver dragon, so I \/tar skarr and there he was sitting on one of the lower rock platforms underneath where you would normally climb up on to get to the ridge on the other side. Dismissed pet, cast deterrence, started taming and boom Skarr is mine. Tamed Skarr on Drenden server at 5:35am time. Love this guy a ton!<\/em><\/p>\n

My npcscan went off and Skarr was located on one of the many small floating islands on which you have to walk on to get to the island (Hope that helps!). There was about 10 hunters there, getting me killed over and over with Pyroclast Barrage. A MMS Friend and I eventually tamed it. We followed through with this: I shot him and interrupted the first fireball, I deterrenced and immediately started taming. My hunter MMS friend silenced the Barrage. Then he became my own kitty. Good luck Hunters!<\/em><\/p>\n

Got him right down to tamable health — took me 2 hours of trying, then right near the end when the buff was about to come off two alliance toons showed up and started raping it so I couldnt tame. I was so pissed I went on a newby alliance killing spree… death the the alliance. Who wants to be a f***ing gnome anyway..?!<\/em><\/p>\n
