Agreed! I miss Dragon Hawk, Aimed Shot, and Volley, and I'm not completely confident with my BM talent specs. We almost whiped in Strath if you can believe that lol. I'm all outta whack.

Being let down to something that had a huge hype is normal.   Give it time,  you'll find your rhythm with it.  Personally I'm mad at myself for the little mistakes I find myself making,  and it's only cause of trying to break bad habbits.  Like still hitting aimed shot even though its a 3 second cast.   I have yet to get into a raid setting to try it for myself though. 

Chin high though,  being a good hunter is a noble thing =P (imo anyways)  I'm sure you'll fall right back into sync with some time. 

Oooh boba, don't be so hard on yourself.  While I am personally loving it (I'm MM, and it feels like even more of a fit than BM was)  I have a great guild to laugh it through.  Our main tank (who is an extraordinary bear) is freaking out due to the lack of decent tanking abilities, until he tried it.  It just takes time, that's all.

I didn't seem to have an issue with focus.  Did you keep up your Steady Shot?  Also, you do not want to be at 100% of focus any more - I dance around 50-80% for the most part.  

It just seems to be a faster game to me, which I love.

Guess I'll do a little QQing, but for different reasons.

I'm fine with the patch changes in and of themselves. Like I said, it shouldn't be too hard getting acclimated being I haven't played very long to begin with. What's dissapointing to me is that this feels like a really big set back overall. I was just starting to get there, ya know? Getting a few chances at ICC, VoA, grouping for weekly, I even got the opportunity to down Illidan which was a huge want of mine. Now I just get the feeling all those long time players that were letting me tag along out of boredom for anything better to do are now gonna be all caught up relearning their class and experimenting with each other to bother. So will I of course, but I won't be able to do that in ICC like those with lots of guild support. I'll be knocked back into grinding 5 man Heroics for gear I don't need. My biggest supporter (sister) who set up all these raids for me with her in game friends will no doubt be spending the next few weeks with her guild getting back up to snuff on her main and when she's not doing that patching up her 3,476 alts. By that time Cat will hit and ICC will be old hat.

Whatever, It's probably just that time of the month. Maybe I'm manstruating or something. Where's the chocolate?

Look outside of you, Kuro, and forget about yourself for a bit - we are ALL in this same boat!  Look at Gar's front page... or Frostheim's.... or if you want a HUGE grin, head to EJ... keep in mind, that all hunters are in the same boat.  What that means for you is this -

You are on Equal Footing!

Play, watch, learn, read.  Forget about ICC, it is old hat in a little over a month.  My geared-to-the-teeth little Niika will be no better off (for the most part) than Kuro, who bought his gear with Justice points.  Go collect your pets, enjoy the grumblings while you push up a shorter learning curve than those of us playing years, and HAVE FUN!  OK hun?

Just look around you, chaos can be a GOOD thing!

That hurt my heart a little bit…, I just hope they don't completely make WotLK null and void like they did to BC. If the first Cat quest hands me a green bow that's better than anything I've seen just for simply talking to someone…I might cry. Ooh Drach, I don't mean it that way.  Blizzard has indicated that they want ICC to be good for a long long time, and it is my personal believe that like Karazhan, it is an excellent training grounds for teamwork, at level.  I think it is going to be a proving grounds for a long time to come, as do the folks I know who are behind the scenes.

Just as when Wrath came out, the greens of Cata will be good, but lacking sockets and the bonuses may not be *as good* as your purples for a few levels.  And it will take all of us a few levels to outpace the end game gear of Wrath.  On day 1 of Wrath, I did not replace my 70 epics until I had reached 73 or 74, if that helps.

I'm sorry I heart your heart, Drach, that is not my intention.  What I aim to say (hahah get it?  Aim?  Hunter Pun!  RAWR!)  is that even though for the LONGEST time that is all we have strived for, there is a new dawn, a new goal to attain, and the playing field has been leveled and has given everyone something to shoot for, be it new in Wrath, aged in BC, or, as old as the hills as Takish Vanilla (hehehee just kidding, Tak!)

All of that is very true. I'm excited for the new stuff and I'm cool with losing the gear I worked so hard to get the past few months simply by talking to someone (LOL Drach), It's just that I was so  close! Made it to the Blood Queen on my second run and know I could have went all the way the next time out. That's all I want! Yeah, yeah, I know, I make these claims of just wanting X until I get there then want Y and Z, but this time I'm totally serious. I just want to down LK on regular 10 man mode. I don't care about the others and as far as some of these silly (IMO) Acheivements like, [Down The First 4 1/2 Bosses Without Wearing Pants On the 17th Day of the Month While All Raid Members Have Exactly 16g 56s 01c In Their Bags] …Well, you catch my drift.

Seriously though, if the day ever comes when I'm a solid player able to give back, I'm gonna do just that. Once I've gotten through the main content of an xpac, fully proficient with all bosses, and geared to the best of my ability, I'm gonna spend the majority of my play time in major cities forming raid parties comprised of undergeared scrubs. Rather than getting 10 points doing something irrelevant (again, IMO ) I'm gonna make sure everyone  within my power gets the opportunity to experience the content of the game they paid for. You know how waitresses and pizza delivery guys are the best tippers cause they know first hand what its like to get stiffed? I will be the the underdog's champion! Repair bills be damned!

It's a big change, and going to take a bit of time to get used to. Dont fret, it's all good. I was a bit nervous about focus, having tried it out on the ptr with not much success. Once I got in and got things situated last night, it was a piece of cake. I stayed on the practice dummy for a good 10 minutes non-stop, never ran out of focus, and was putting up pretty much the same dummy numbers as before the patch. Multi-shot replaces volley, it now several targets at once. Just remember always do steady shot twice, then another skill, and steady shot twice again at the end of your rotation. You'll never run out of focus, which is way better than having a limited amount of mana.

The real test will be running ICC tonight, and see how the numbers actually stack up. Hopefully there wont be as much of a dps loss as has been reported on various other sites testing on the PTR, as much as a 1k dps loss or more has been seen. Hopefully this will not hinder me in the quest to kill the LK, cause like Kurozu, I just want to down the darn LK in 10m!

All in all, I like the new patch. The new UI changes have been needed for quite some time, imo. I especially like the new guild management UI and the spellbook. Reforging is nice too. I had a bunch of extra hit on my gear, so I turned it into Mastery. Good stuff.

Oh no, I'm really not that upset, I mean I'm not on the ledge or anything. I've heard they are working at making pre-Cata stuff relevant as well, I'm just waiting to see how relevant it will still be I guess. I'm excited about the newness, we are literally pioneers, to me it's extremely exciting.

I haven't had the chance to try SV or BM, but I'm loving just about everything on MM right now. Things I like:

(1) Focus! Hoorah! No more jumping into Aspect of the Viper. Sure I ran out of focus the first part of the day, but then I started getting a feel for it and started liking it. PvP is giving me a bit of a problem yet, but I'm sure I will get it.

(2) Ammo is gone! *wave bye bye*

(3) The new pet abilities. Although I haven't put it to the test dps wise yet, I'm loving that I can bring out my hyena for instance runs now.

(4) Reforging. Heck yeah! You can really tweak your gear stats now.

(5) 20 pet slots and having 5 pets "on call".

(6) Scatter Shot for all specs.

Things I "kind of" don't like:

(1) Trap launcher. Well the way it works anyways. It feels so.....clunky.

(2) Aimed Shot. It's hitting like a wet noodle.

(3) The "menu" for calling a pet out. I wish it was bit quicker somehow.

(4) Silencing Shot doing no damage. I loved finishing casters off with the old silencing shot.

(5) Aspect of the Fox not available till later level.

These are things I can currently draw from my sleep deprived brain right now. All and all, right now I'm having a great time. Chin up people! Being able to step up to the challenge and adjust is what seperates us from the huntards.

I like the changes so far.  I think what is bugging most people is that things are really all balanced for level 85 now, not 80.  80 is about to be just another level on the way to cap, and thats how blizzard is developing all the new skills and abilities.  Yeah kinda sucks a bit for the time being (the most noticeable thing for me is the lack of Aspect of the Fox for PVP, id do so much more damage if I could move while casting steady shot), but in a month and a half that won't matter any more.  

Give it a shot, take sometime to learn how things work again (personally I plan on leveling a new hunter in cata, thats the best way to learn a new class is by playing it from the start, and lets face it Cata hunter is pretty much a new class in a lot of ways.)  If you still dont like it after a while  then complain all you want, but I personally feel its a little premature to say the new system is horrible after barely even a full day of trying it out.

Is anyone else having issues summoning their SBs?! I can't call him out, just says "You have no pet to summon". The rest work just fine, and yes I trained to the max level.
