I have been reading for a while and from what I can tell there is not really one that is better for a RAID toon (based on current patch level), or am I way off on that? I made a hunter a while back to get a change and have really been having fun with it so I want to get more up to speed on the right way to play it. I am lvl 388 now and jsut a few VP parts away from getting to a DPS level that can help in a raid.
I have made the change from a night elf to a wargen to get the 1% crit and have switched to a wolf for the pet. I have been so far only playing as a MM and have the rotation down to get some good DPS (19K) but I know I have work to do (will get that done before I post for help)
but, is staying a MM the way to go as I work my way into 10man or should I move to SV or BM?
I am sure there are a lot of "well.... that depends..." so please if you have some good current links on I can read up please let me know, or if you know that a SV is better for PvE 10man please let me know.
huge thanks in advance for ay help.

Really, in the long run, play the spec you enjoy the most. You will do better with what you enjoy, it just stands to reason. Remember the main aim in a raid or pvp environment even is to help the party/team achieve its goals by playing your part. Not pulling adds, controlling your pet, hitting the right targets and not standing in the fire/acid/poo are all more important than being #1 on the Recount meter.
If you haven't tried other specs, give them a go and see if you like them. For example, I played SV and got the shits with the NEEEEED to lay down the Ice Trap all the time. Then I spent all my time in MM but missed the exotic pets. These days I play BM, use a pet I like and throw a trap to help out in add pulls.
Another thing, don't be too attached to Mr Wolf unless you really really like him. When going into high level instances or raids you might want to have a few different pets so you can cover a buff the raid doesn't have.
