Hey all, first off. Loving what I've seen of the forum, and the number of helpful posts I've seen so far. Been searching through but can't find what I need, here's my situation.
Am a returning hunter, back in the late TBC and Early wrath days, I was a pretty good SV/BM hunter (BM I personally love). Was one of the first hunters on my server to crack the AoE Leveling build, and knew the ins and the outs of most my stats and gear. Not long after I hit I stopped playing hunters all together. The grind I ended up with between 73- with bad mana issues back then was enuff to burn me out. Now am back, and boy do I suck. Dueling am dead in seconds, BG's I don't even stand a chance, and this is quite frustrating going from Top of the boards to bearly hitting top 10s.
I guess what am asking is please, please can someone help me renew my love for hunters and help me learn to play again.
Below is my armory link, the gear is far from great as its only what I found in my bank.

First of all WELCOME!!! yes, the Lodge is a fairly friendly sort (that is, when they aren't picking on Niika!) and I am glad that you have found it welcoming here.
Any advice we give you will change in the very near future, as talent points are reset for the new talent trees. Arpen is going away, and gear being changed to haste, crit, and omgwhatthehellisthat, so I encourage you to keep an open mind and be patient a bit longer.
I want to find out more of what you like to do. What I would recommend for raiding, would be totally different than someone else would recommend for PVP for instance.
I'm glad to hear you are looking at getting back into it! And in making yourself a voice in the Lodge!
Well with the hours I work, I never get the chance to raid ( So with me right now, Its mainly PvP based. And one of the reasons am rolling my hunter again is because of a few changes to Cata, Like giving us a working BM build back! (If they added pet mangerment back, ie feeding ect.. that would be awesome)
Am duel spec'd (right now BM + Surv) and am gonna redo my builds based on advice I find from this site to BM + MM, as MM seems to have a nice damage range without losing too many toys, And BM for when I just miss my spiritbeast.

My advice, stay SV for PvP. MM is very gear dependent and with your current level of gear, you will get more bang for your buck from SV. Till you can get some higher gear and a harder hitting ranged weapon you will probably find SV will do better for you. You could also go PvP as BM, which is fun in its own right. Nothing like seeing your pet shred an S.Priest or Warlock to make your day.

Zarrosh, oh glory, you sound horrifically in despair to me! I don't know if you know this but *every * hunter is going to be doing this in the next week or two, since Blizzard is changing everything up for us. New talents, new trees, new shots, etc. We'll all be in the same Lodge, so to speak!

This is true, Think what my best bet maybe, is instead of trying to learn everything again is to just wait till the patch hits, then relearn the class, Least that way I won't be trying to learn the class twice in such a short space of time.
Most of us will be right there with you.
In the meantime, look at the PvP-related posts and guides listed on this page: https://huntsmanslodge.com/guides
I'm sure you'll find some info that can help.
