edit: Ack! There should totally be a big fat "?" in that thread title!
This may seem like a dumb question, and I realize that most of the guys (Gar included) are likely gemming up Hit due to the lack of Focused Aim, but I'm wondering if anyone with deep pockets actually attempted to gem all hit in order to go beyond the max, then reforge the hit ratings on their gear into Mastery in order to get it back down within cap range? Seems silly to say it out right, but aren't Mastery gems coming in Cat? How viable a stat is Mastery, anyway? What is the highest anyone has gotten it to here and what actual benefits are you seeing as a result?
Maybe I missed it, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of info on Mastery as it pertains to the hunter class. Anyone have any insight on this?

I'm pretty much in the testing phase yet. I have reforged my gear with mastery to get the MM bonus up to 20%. I've also added some haste. I've been able to keep my gems almost all agility. Last I tested I was running about 4500 dps in heroics. Will be hitting ICC10 this weekend, so will see how it goes.
Ah, interesting. So what are you pulling from the gear to up the Mastery then, crit?
You mention the 20% bonus. Where are you seeing this? Is it in your spellbook as a passive talent?
I guess I should look more into it, but I'm still deciding on whether or not to settle into full T10 or 2/2 from T9/10. Didn't wanna start spending up gold reforging if I wasn't gonna keep all the gear and then I noticed that T10 lacks all the hit that T9 has, so now I'm just a mess, again...
