What achievement (or set of achievements) are people working on currently? Myself I'm enjoying doing Loremaster ^^ I've done Cataclysm, Northrend, Outlands – currently Kalimador and Eastern Kingdoms to go. Though I'm wondering why Blizz didn't have Loremaster contain ahicevements for EACH place in wow.

@Bobafett that must be a horde achievement with a second achievement for waiting untill alliance is being attacked or attacking a mob then attack like a coward. LOL sorry sore spot. sorry again been killed too many times while attacking mobs then some “person” comes up from behind and takes me out. i have since added a macro to all my toons that simply when i target the individual the hit macro /bored then /laugh i do not fight i just sit there let them kill me i do not care really anymore usally after i hit the macro one or two times they go away because i will not give them the satisfaction of a fight. lol

yag

and unfortunately i am in a pvp server if i did not have so many friends there i would have been in a different type of server.  I have lost my temper waaaaaayyyy to many times over being ganked that is why i made the macro. this way i just laugh at the “person”.

I'm going for the MostTimeWastedSearchingforTimeLostProtoDrake achievement, and I've got a pretty solid lock on that title too. I'm hoping to be able to quit the junk pretty soon, working on developing a patch that will help me step down gradually so I don't have to go cold turkey.

I prefer not to work on any achievements intentionally.  I like it when the message pops over the screen and I am completely unaware of what it means or that I was close to it.   I especially like it when it's a hard enough one it earns grats from a normally silent guild.

@ Yag: Everyone has been ganked. I just got tired of it and decided to do something about it. So instead of running around as a Blood DK in tanking gear… I run around as an Unholy DK in Bloodthirsty gear. I will say that I usually only kill a lowbie once….maybe twice if they push it.

@ Drach: Doood! I feel you. I spent so many hours searching for Zin''rokh. I think I have somewhere around 2500 Troll fragments over 450. And I haven't given up yet, I just put it on hiatus.

Wow great work with the exalted reputations! Hope you get the others very soon!

Nice to hear about everyones achievements, especially SlaughteringAllianceOfAnyLevelAnywhereIFindThem icon_razz Sometimes I'm evil and gank if recently I was ganked on an alt or something. But when doing Loremaster I run across many low level alliance characters but I don't kill them unless I see them attacking a fellow horde.

@boba like i said i know it is part of the game. just usally a little frustrating when you have no chance of killing the “person”. i was doing some archaelogy the other day and got a message from someone asking if i could help that i horde was camping him over and over again and could i help. i went over and the guy was 15 levels higher. so i did a little pay back for the lowbie. lol funny thing was the guy kept getting on his mount fly up like it would really help him. i awas on my priest so i would fly up apply tickers and then float gently to the ground. got a message from the lowbie saying thank you about 1/2 hour later letting me know that the guy left him alone after i left. I personally do not gank. I figure if i do not like i will not do it to someone else. although there was a time while leveling with my wife. she really had no clue to what she was doing i had her runn over and gank a lowbie telling her it was just a mob. she felt so bad afterwards that she yelled at me and quit playing for the night. LOL

my son was in the room and started laughing she quit talking to us for about an hour or so. lol

I was in Tanaris as a level 50 Troll Hunter waiting to get into an instance. Decided to stand outside the respawn point where the ginormus scorpion appears to get some some serious exp while I waited. (he respawns about every minute) The next thing I know three alliance icon_eek and above stand next to me and challenge me to a duel which I decline. Next thing I know I'm dead in the Tanaris GY. I run back to my corpse and resurrect and w/i 10 seconds they gank me again. This went on 3-4 times until I just rezzed in the GY but it was costly to have to repair all my gear.

Is there a way to use NPC scan for finding players like this? I wrote down their name. I also think that Blizzard should add a feature that tags players that kill opposing players x levels below them who did not agree to a duel. With that tag on them, they can be flagged by the opposing faction who is at an equivalent level and be forced to fight even if not in a “neutral” zone. The player that kills the “ganker” would then earn honor points in some way. This would provide an incentive to at least not gank way below your level and to allow the opposing faction to earn honor points as bounty for getting even. The other option would be to subtract honor points from a “ganker” who kills opposing faction players x level beneath him.

Just an idea.

Although getting ganked by someone is annoying, but I still wouldn't change how things work on PVP realms. If I find myself getting camped I just log into another character (so they are waiting around for my corpse foolishly), or I just get my main (and perhaps bring a friend) icon_wink I do gank sometimes but not to the extremes of camping, only if they piss me off or I have been pissed off recently by an alliance. After all, it's just a game – as long as your naughty in game and not in real life “I think” it's fine.

I usually don't bother lowbies in PvP unless they are doing something like killing quest npcs or town guards, stuff like that. If they are merely out questing or farming something, I leave them be. There is no challenge in killing them.

Since I'm not on a PvP realm, I don't have to worry about getting ganked unless I somehow mistakingly get flagged. If I get ganked, then I just wait till my pvp flag drops off and then rez.

As for getting ganked while playing on a PvP realm, well I'm sorry to say, while it sucks, it IS a PvP realm and anything goes.

There is also a big difference in ganking and camping. I mean sitting on a lowbie and not letting them play is one thing…

But swooping out of the sky, dropping diseases, and standing back and watching a lowbie run around in circles trying to figure out what is killing them can be mildly amusing. And I must mention that I come from a particularly vicious PvP realm. I rarely step out of the major cities without being attacked. Hell, I've been ganked in Orgrimmar before.

Omg that's rich – the diseases thing! icon_razz I just thought of another thing, while I was in STV waiting on my hearth cooldown I came across a lowbie alliance lock, so I just chilled with her as she was herbing, and occasionally helped her (or him) if she got attacked – but if I aws feeling naughty, I could've put a trap down where the herb was…
