Hey guys, I need some help…
I just came back to war of warcraft after about 8 months of being gone. I feel lost with my bm hunter, I before i left I would average 2.7-3.2 dps in heroics/naxx. Now I can’t break 2300. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong., I know that Bm’s got hit pretty hard in a patch but I had no idea. I’m here is ask for a little help, my hit rating with the help of focused aim is capped. So here is my hunter…
So I hopping to get back in the raiding game again what do I need to work on? Where should I go to gear up and whats the best spec and glyphs I should go with..

Hmm..not bad, here's what i'd suggest:
First off, theres a number of specs typically used in raiding, and sadly, at the moment BM isnt the top.
MM is (At highest gear levels) the biggest & baddest, followed closely by SV, and BM bringing up the rear.
I dont have a ton of experience with MM myself, but i know our guy Garwulf knows what he's doing, so i'll link his spec here:
I've seen Gar do pretty good #'s, and despite the fact that his gear is great its pretty impressive DPS, honestly it's likely more than i'd be putting out w/ the same gear. If you have any questions on this build, i strongly reccomend postin em' here, I'm sure Gar will be happy to help you out.
The path i followed myself for Raiding was SV. There are two "Acceptable" Specs (Three, but the entry-level specs shouldnt apply to you as much.), But look at these with an open mind, there is no Cookie Cutter perfect-SV spec, as the tree can suit several purposes.
First off is the spec i favor myself a SV 0/14/57 -- This spec is the most mana-effeicient spec available to hunters, and it has some pretty good raid utility, not to mention a near-to 100% uptime on replenishment, (usually about 65-%, depending on your crit rating. I've got about 33% in my SV spec, so i'm rockin the replen " /> ). This is similar to the specs favored by many raiders, but i opted for a little more mana replen than most others do, making it an excellent progression build, and it still usually has me 2nd or 3rd on the DPS meter. With 25%+ Crit, you can get away with 2/3 in Hunting Party with relative ease, and maybe drop a point in Aimed shot, or even better Improved Aspect of the Hawk. 1/5 pts in there is a massive boost from 0/5, and that alone will keep you 3% hasted up for the better portion of your fights. Thanks to Garwulf for mentioning the merits of that ability a lil' while ago! " />
The "Best DPS" SV build -- 6/14/51
-- This build will put out the best DPS from the SV tree, but it features no replenishment, and is almost as bad as many MM specs with Mana, you'll find its a lot easier to use this spec if your real good about staying in viper when out of combat and being in Dragonhawk during combat, but even then you'll sometimes go OOM on longer bossfights.
A side note about ALL hunter specs...There is NO hunter spec currently pheasable for reliable raid DPS that does not include 5/5 in Lethal & Mortal Shots, 3/3 in Careful Aim, and at least one point in Go for the Throat. -- Also, ALL of the hunter specs above assume you can get the Hitcap through gear alone. Keep in mind any points in Focused Aim do NOT carry Hit over to your pet, and for that reason i, and many other hunters prefer not to touch it, as it also saps points away elsewhere.
Another idea, to set you on the right course: You're sitting pretty with the Mirror of Truth, it's an excellent Trinket, and for your second..i'd reccomend getting one of three possible trinkets, depending on your need. Going by the 2/3 in Focused aim i saw in your specs, try farming Nexus for the Sphere of Red Dragon's Blood, and for a better version: a Pyrite Infuser from Flame Leviathan is something to shoot for, aside from that, Loathebs Shadow can be a good choice for a non-hit Trink :3
Looking at your armory link, i can see you've already been looking into an MM & SV Spec, and the glyphs i see there look pretty darn good, i can't see any major flaws there.
For gear, just run Heroics for Emblems of Conquest, & do the dailie of course and shoot for some T9.
If you feel i overlooked anything or would like to contribute, Feel free to post your thoughts! " />
at last i managed to make a MM build which i will use for pve and pvp.. definitely not for arena... what do you say? I have one question though; does Aspect Mastery worth its point? i got stuck there a bit ,but i like the way this build lets me play..
see ya around..
