hi Gar, I'd like to ask you something… right now I'm using Prat 3.0, but I can't move the frame so it stays on the blizzard default position… and I can't find any frame position options either…

any suggestions?

Just right click on the chat tab, then select Unlock. Place it where you want it, resize it, whatever… then right click again, lock and done. :)

Hey all. There's currently three UI's I'm watching: SpartanUI and ShestakUI at wowinterface.com. Also at that site is oUF_caellian – which is not a UI but rather a nameplate set (check the screenshot for his UI which he said he'll be releasing soon). Then there's also Tukui.org.

Anyway, I did not directly link to them so that you'll also get to check out what those sites have to offer.

I'm partial to minimalist designs but sometimes, "complicated" but nice sets get my attention (SpartanUI).

Enjoy.

Garwulf, I REALLY like this… clean and simple.  I've never quite been able to make the jump to a minimalist UI.  Too much of a control freak, perhaps.  Smile

Mind sharing your keybindings and what you do with the hidden bars 3 – 5?  How do you manage aspects, pet rez/call/dismiss/mend, other traps, profs, etc.?

Thanks for the great site and info!

Bars 3-5 are set to always invisible (at the top of my screen), with a bar 6 that I have available on hover over out of combat. I have skills and macros in there that I need to only click once in awhile (ie: Hawk Eye, Call Stabled Pet, Eyes of the Beast, addon config macros, etc).

w, a, and s do just about everything I need to do with my pets. w is pet attack, a is my all-in-one-care macro and shift+a is LoS pet res. s is my pet return+dash and shift+s is dismiss pet.

Traps I have bound to my F keys. Aspects I have bound to my G keys (logitech G19 kb).

I really like this UI and I just noticed my current UI looks at lot like your 2.0 UI.  I'm going to be making my stuff look more like you're 3.0 and I actually did until AG Unit Frames started crashing when doing things like setting focus.

I switched to Shadow Unit frames and need to setup keybinds eetc.  Thanks for sharing your UI, add-on's, and the keybinds.  I imagine you use mousewalk based off that last post?  I have been using it during BG's and some kiting but I don't know if I'll get used to it for full time usage but I'm also only 8 months (about) into this game! Cool

Yep. That looks a lot like past rendetions of my UI.

I didn't post the article about the jump shot, but yes, I've been a mouse-mover since day one. I sympathize with those trying to learn teh technique after having been clickers for years. It's probably pretty tough to get used to, but once you do it should improve your game play quite a bit.

I actually meant your post above mentioning your keybinds Smile  Either way, it is something to get used to.  I think the biggest difficulty so far is merely the idea of holding the buttons down all the time.  I started online gaming with a lot of first person shooter's so WASD is home for me.  So far I've been able to "do it on the fly" but I gotta get better at it to make the smooth transition.
