Is this a UI I can download via. curse client cause I'm failing so bad at putting this into my folder (/facerolling keyboard)

I started at the back up "something something", WTF folder and updates? and i started dragging the first folder mentioned via. youtube vid. and my mouse fails so bad as well (need a new one) while i was dragging, my mouse decided to be a !@#$ and I lost my folder….

so the TL;DR is….

Is there a noob version download via curse client? xD

No, it's not. It's only on WoWInterface.

Since it's a whole collection of addons, each with their own profile info, it has to be installed that way. icon_sad

The addons are quite out of date, so if you do try again, be sure to update all of them via the Curse client or MMOUI Monster, before logging in for the first time.

As soon as I have a spare day, I will be uploading a newer version of this UI, so you may want to hold off it's causing too much trouble. I've been on the verge of doing this for months, but I need about a day to clean unnecessary stuff from the .lua files., perform test installs, then zip and upload it.

C'mon, Gar! What's taking you so long!!?? It's not like you run one of the best, most informative Hunter websites, or make appearances on WoW podcasts, or do live testing and blogging about Hunters, or have a lot of other… ohwait, yeah you do >.<

That's only the stuff you guys know about, which are the things I try to do in my spare time. lol.

From past experience, it usually takes me the better part of a day to package and upload a major update like this. I always find little things I have to tweak before I send it out to the masses, plus I like to scrub the files free of all my alts' profile info, personal character data (gold, inventory, etc… Bagnon info, mainly), then do a few test installs to make sure everything works.

If I take the time to make sure it's 'ready', then I have a lot fewer support questions later on, and the install process goes much smoother for people.

I really, really want to upload an updated version, but things keep coming up. :-\

You mean to say that your legion of loyal members, moderators, contributors, devotees and this wonderful site are relegated to your "spare time"? What are we toy soldiers, living our lives in a virtual reality where death could strike at any moment, where we fantasize about killing monsters, demons, tyrants and usurpers all while taming wonderous rare beasts and exploring a fantastic world, albeit virtual?

So with the help of a computer expert friend I managed to download it BUT…..I lost all my curse addons and apparently there was no way to have both.

So I had to choose between

losing Shadowtimer,DOTimers,BIGwigs,DBM,GUI for my priest

over GarUI for my 71 hunter icon_neutral

even after reinstalling my curse addons GarUI still blocked GUI for my hunter after unchecking GarUI.

I REALLY like GarUI but I'll just keep looking

I've been switching from Aouf(sp?)_Adirelle with dominos to X-perl and finally went to GUI

But GUI is proving to be difficult as a mouse clicker.

Flash,

I don't use the Gar UI myself, but from memory several of the Powa Auras are placed into the Generic section which will make them applicable to all of your characters across numerous servers.

Go into Power Auras and from the main menu copy the auras from the Generic (lower half) to the Character Specific section (top half) and then turn off the Generic aura (Shift Left Click).

Be sure to have a look at the Character Specific sections to see which page you need to transfer the Generic auras to.

This will at least fix up the Power Auras part of your troubles.

Oh I found a UI that is working out for me but thanks anyway darwyn!

I'm using LUI which has some benefits that GUI doesn't and it chopped up action bars which was nice.

When garwulf uploads that new GarUI I'll definitly come back and take a peek and try prodding it once more.

But if anyone has any suggestions for UI's via curse client for hunters that would be awesome!

I use ELVUI for all classes. It is fairly user friendly and you can put things where you want them, mostly.

it is available on Curse.

If you want a real user-friendly, plug and play UI, then ElvUI or LUI are great for that. I use my UI because I'd not been able to find one that I liked 'out of the box' – there was always something or some things that I'd needed to change.

Plus, I like being able to swap addons in and out with total freedom. Most of the UI replacements rely on certain addons in order to maintain their slick appearance. If the addon dev dops the project, then… ruh'roh. Once I notice an addon is throwing back errors, or hasn't been updated in awhile, I start looking for a substitute.

Anyway… this next version of my UI will be the best one yet. icon_smile There have been no radical changes — it's just better.

It now goes to eleven.

I cannot find on WOWInterface using link from your web site. So not sure if it is there or under what file name. Can you check the link or provide a new one. Looking to make my interface better for my hunter. In meantime I will try the two mentioned in the previous posts. Thanks!!
