Ok new at this, but I am unable to figure out how to get my buffs/debuffs as well as the target's to display. I assume there is an addon that changes whats displayed depending on if you are in a raid or BG etc, but I cant figure out which one or if thats it at all.

thanks

Ok, so I have been playing with this UI on and off for a bit and it is very frustrating. I really like it, but can not get it to work for me. I know that Raven controls the buff display, but I can not get it to work properly. If I put it in test mode the bar comes up in the upper left of the screen with test squares, but after I turn the test mode off it goes away and will not come back. I tried changing to a different profile and then back to GarUI. Nothing. Reinstalled everything. Nothing. Is there another addon I should look at? Any ideas? thanks

Hi Jaregard,

I apologize for the delay in responding…been a troublesome few weeks in my world so I've not been around here much.

Raven does control the buff groups.

The way I've set it up is to long-duration buffs and auras in the top-left corner of the screen, short duration buffs above each unit frame (player & target), debuffs are to the left and right (respectively) of each UF for target and player – and are displayed in bar mode.

Do note that I've filtered out a lot of buffs, so it's possible you won't see any at times — especially if you're resting.

If I have any other ideas I'll update this topic once I've had a chance to log in and have a look.

Thanks for the reply. Especially since you have so much going on in RL. I was just so frustrated that I couldn't get your UI to configure properly because I liked it so much. I kept trying to make it on my own and while I made some progress, its was nothing like yours.

It appears that Raven just didnt/cant load your settings. So based on your above comments I just tried to configure Raven manually. I am sure its not as refined as yours, but I am ok with that right now. I just started playing again after a 2 year layoff.

One thing I would like is to be able to click on players buffs to find out what they are. For example, if someone is on a mount and I want to find out what type it is. I can seem the buff when I mouse over them (TipTac?), but I can't click on any of those. When I target the player no buffs show.

Thanks for a great UI and your help.

PM me your email address and I'll send you my Raven Saved Variables files.

NVM… I grabbed it from your profile. I'll send the files to your Gmail account today, along with instructions on what to do with them.
