Macro noob query: Can a shot-cast macro (Rapid Fire) included using a potion from your inventory?

I've taken to answering my own questions as well. That's not weird is it?

Not knowing you aren't supposed to be able to achieve something often ensures that you will.   Book of Agio 22:2

Sometimes it just helps to say it outloud and the answer comes.

For the head scratchers out there…

#showtooltip Anyshot

/use Potion of Speed                                             Increases Haste for you

/use Indestructable Potion                                      Increases armor for you

/use Potion of Wild Magic                                       Increases Crit and Spellpower for you..

/cast anyshot

These are but a few examples… there are others you can use as well.

Cheers,

D

Thanks guys, good example, Dar. Mine is specifically (as SV) for those "burn" moments:

#showtooltip Rapid Fire

/use Potion of the Tol'Vir

/cast Call of the Wild

/cast Rapid Fire

It's funny, I have haste procs from trinkets, Hunting Party gives me a boost, and whatever else is out there so in all but the longest boss fights I'm almost never shooting at my "base" speed, which is 1.56s for Cobra Shot. It's almost always quite a bit faster, which is fun.

In Dragon Soul, so far, I'll sometimes use this right out of the gate, unless I know I have to move around a lot. Then I still get the boost later from Time Warp and if the fight is longer (occasionally) RF will be off cd and I can do it again at the end. You learn to know which fights last that long and which ones you need to save RF for. If I'm in MM I have to bring extra pots because I can get 3-4 RF in a single boss fight.

If I'm really thinking about it, I'll pre-pot with a Potion of the Tol'Vir right before the pull to get even more +AGI but I have to be careful to let the tank get aggro first. That burst can be dangerous.
