Unclickable fire looking hunter pet?

OK I don't know if this has been posted or not (tried searching and came up with nothing) so im hoping anyone has any ideas as to what kind of pet this is (as it comes up raptor in there armory) its just fire on the ground and you can not click on the pet that belongs to the hunter.

I have never seen that, may be some sort of glitch, but Anj will know for sure, kind of looks like a blob, not much pet to it.

It's the new Smoldering Wormling from deep within Magma Springs. You have to jump off the ledge and land exactly on a floating rock and jump from there to the entrance. The wormling has 200 million health and you'd have to be in PvP with no armor on, in order to tame it once it's down to 1000 health exactly.

(In other words, I don't know what that is….) icon_smile But rest assured, I'm on it to provide more details…

This could be a burning boar from Mulgore. There is a way to tame them (and other pets) so that their appearance buff remains. However, once a pet or owner dies, the appearance buff disappears. It's purely cosmetic and is only used for RP-ing or bragging rights.

We can't see the boar in this picture so I guess it's a glitch (basing on the fact that it's the first time Baxxel has seen it — so there may be an image loading/caching problem).

I'll still ask around. There may be spells, food, or even items that does that to a pet.

it cant be the flaming boar cuz I have that one lol and when you search the armory of the player….(dont know if i should mention it) the pet that is named Fire is a raptor…….

It could be that quest in the Barrens where the Terrortooths can turn to a pool of fire? If that's the case then this is just an appearance buff. icon_smile

Hmm interesting…I didn't know that lol and they might be good at not dying lol because they went into tol barad and ZA and still had there pet like that

Please consider not to use the pet. Baxxel said "you can not click on the pet that belongs to the hunter.” … which means the pet is not targetable. That’s an exploit right there giving unfair advantage (think PvP: specifically those who target by mouse).

I agree it’s a cool pet, but I don’t want anyone getting banned as a result.

Welcome to the Lodge, Trog!

You'll need two people. One which has the quest and you, who’ll do the taming. Start the tame, then once taming is around 70%, tell your friend to throw the seed. Right before the tame completes, spam Revive. You may need to try more than once to get the perfect throw timing and to get the explosion effect.
