yeah its still possible to solo tame him. i did it last week, hurray. it was qite odd cause actually I tried a half year ago excessively to find and tame him, but it never happened. I bought cloth and leather armor with haste, the haste battlemaster trinket and an on use haste trinket, all enchanted and gemmed with haste. got an eleven second tame out of it. i was rly good prepared but I never found him alive, and gave up after some time.

now last week I farmed some mammoth at this pillar in the north and he popped out right before me. my jaws dropped to the floor and I wasnt able to think clearly. my haste equip was lying in the bank and short before he appeared I used jeeves…. 

well I used hearthstone, got my stuff, forgot hastefood and hastepot and flew back to the scene (wrote some makros on the bat). HE WAS STILL THERE!!! unbelievable luck, but he wasn´t tamed yet…

first try I added some mammoth and had to let my lvl 75 ghostsaber die. 

I quickly tamed a crocodile, made a try but was feared in the last 2 seconds

then 3rd try. I added farunn…I was so excited I did everything wrong, acting like the biggest noob on earth. I killed farunn @ meelee cause I had no ammo for the spellhaste gun I had equipped and was too stupid too click on outfitter to get my bow, but I killed him fast and began the tame. and well…I DID IT! survived with ~3k life

taming this beast was rly very exciting, although I had more luck then everything else in this moment. but well I deserved it I think

I think the only thing that changed since the BW nerf is that its now more expensive to tame him  

I even bought merlin´s robe for 5k gold back then, and I didn´t had the guarantee that I will ever see him!

In future, especially at lvl 85, hp won´t be a matter anymore and the haste on the items will increase.

nevertheless, there are few hunters who are insane enough to invest so much gold and time, so I think he will stay a rarely seen hunterpet, as long as blizzard won´t do the same to him as they did with humar…that would be a punch in the face of us insane hardcore bm´s ;(

hmmm the new talent tree shows that tbw will NOT give cc immunity to the hunter anymore in cataclysm.

if that comes true, taming krush or even the beast in ubrs will only be possible with massive haste and a priest.

I of course hate that change, they have to give us something really worthy for that extreme nerf…bm hunters have not that much possibilities in pvp…but in the end it would make the king even more difficult to get, which I would appriciate of course. ;P

but blizzard will surely add the green devilsaur skin as lvl 3 mobs in the worgen starting area…
