Which pet to use in a group

Which pet to use in a group

Fledgling hunter here looking for some pet advice. I recently heard someone say that the pet they use in a group is usually determined by what other classes are in the group, and what buffs they can provide. I was curious what pet/class combo's I should be looking at. Example, if I have a druid in my group, what is the best pet etc…

excellent chart, thank you. now i just need to do a little homework on classes to figure out what they each bring to the table that makes me choose that pet. Only classes i really know are hunters and rogues. Thanks again!

I always keep a wolf in my "on call" stable. A lot of the time the groups I'm with have a lot of the buffs covered except for the crit bonus that wolves give.

Also a nifty addon called Pet Selector that will check the buffs available to your group based on class make-up and tell you which pet is best for that group.

for 5 mans just bring a pet that Buffs altho there is already a good write up on pet abilities on warcrafthuntersunion.com
