What race for Alliance hunter?

Hey guys,

Just stopping by to ask an opinion. My cousin has started playing WoW again, had met up with his old raid team and they are putting a guild together. He's on the Alliance and wants me to faction change my hunter over. I don't mind doing this, but I have no idea what race to pick. I'm leaning toward worgen, but the idea of a ranged fighting werewolf with a pet is kinda… Not right?

Any input or suggestions would be helpful.

It's either Worgen or Dwarf for max DPS, none of the other alliance races really come all that close.

Worgen have awesome shooting animations with bows and guns(which extends to crossbows) and dwarves kinda suck without a gun… Worgen 1% crit is all the time icon_razz

Given the fact that Gnomes cannot be hunters, if I were you I would go Worgen. My understanding is that for raiding, it just doesn't get any better than the Worgen racial. So much so, based only on what I've heard, that top raiding guilds are having all of their raiders race change to Worgen in order to have it. Talk about goint to the extreme. Ugh!

I like having a dwarf hunter because I like shooting guns. Given the fact that, as things stand now, it is EXTREMELY difficult for a raiding hunter to take advantage of the dwarf racial for bonus crit when using a gun, its kind of hard to argue in their favor if you're going to raid.

Bottom line: If you're choosing for fun, pick what you like. If you're chosing for min/max-success, pick Worgen.

I would pick Worgen for the Crit bonus. Dwarves are meh, plus there's just not really a good end-game gun in the game right now. We all know Night Elves are only slightly less meh than Dwarves. I might actually pick a human if I was switching, but I shudder to even think about moving to Alliance. I feel for you, Bigah.

Worgen if your going for dps factor. If your looking for coolness factor, then your in the wrong faction cause Horde is way cooler!

I'd say NE. Look at this sexiness! This is how I left my NE at lvl 71 after BC.
