How big of an impact does cobra shot have on SV? I ask because I switched from SV (my preferred playstyle) to MM and saw MM was yielding higher dps. But also, this was before I was 84 and with 84 comes Cobra Shot.

Cobra Shot replenishes your Focus and refreshes your Serpent Sting DoT, eliminating the need to fire SS more than once per fight. It will also refresh the DoT your Multi-Shot gives if you're specced into Serpent Spread. It has the same cast time as Steady Shot, and I believe Chimera Shot. Cobra Shot may benefit from higher Mastery, help me out theorycrafters
Based on the maths, MM is doing higher *single target* DPS in most circumstances, but it's always going to be up to you to master the rotation/priority.
SV is going to yield higher DPS in most AoE heavy fights, in most circumstances.
I'm not an expert so hopefully other Lodge members will chime in here and help me out
