Quoted from Warcraft Hunter's Union:

There have been a lot of reports of a Sic ‘Em bug, both on the WoW forums and in comments here on the WHU. The most coherent report I’ve seen of the Sic ‘Em bug is that it’s simply not discounting the focus cost of the pet’s basic attacks at all — Sic ‘Em procs, but your pet’s basic attack still has the same focus cost.

We talked about this a bit on the Hunting Party Podcast last weekend, but I have seen no evidence of this bug, and I cannot reproduce it. We talked with Zeherah on the show as well, and she also has not seen Sic ‘Em failing to work properly.

What is happening, however, is if your pet has enough focus to proc Wild Hunt, and Sic ‘Em procs, Sic ‘Em only discounts the pet’s attack by the base focus cost of the attack — 25 focus — not the new increased Wild Hunt focus cost. However, that is exactly how Sic ‘Em has always worked.

Zeherah’s theory is that hunters are experiencing the fix to the pet focus bug (especially hunters who had 2/2 Wild Hunt) and they started looking to see why their pets dps was suddenly so much lower, and then saw that Sic ‘Em wasn’t discounting the full Wild Hunt amount and didn’t realize that’s how it always worked — thus are incorrectly attributing the dps loss from the pet focus decrease to Sic ‘Em.

A bug that is present, however, is a new Rabid bug that Zeherah recently reported on the forums. She’s seeing in logs that the autocast of Rabid is not automatically triggering every 45 seconds — often taking 60-90 seconds between triggers, resulting in a significant dps loss.

The frustrating thing is that this bug does not show up on the target dummies. Every 45 seconds like clockwork the ability goes off — and yet we can look at logs of raids where the pet never has to switch targets and see that it’s not firing, and this is true for multiple different bosses.

If you’re seeing this in your own logs, one likely solution is just to macro Rabid into your shots to force trigger it on cooldown — much as we used to have to do for several of our pet debuffs. But hopefully we’ll see some kind of blue response to this one.
