My new Orc Hunter, Jhaerok, is now officially a Bee, which is awesome, thanks Niika! I'veI have the heirloom shoulders, chest, and cloak, and now with the sweet guild bonus it's a total (if they truly stack) of +35% XP! The Screaming Bees are a super fun bunch and an awesomely friendly guild. I even got to participate in a bit of karaoke in /gchat! lol

I logged in last night right on the tail end of lvl 9 and upon reaching 10 I immediately dropped the boar and picked up a scorpid, who remains nameless. Suggestions are welcome. I got almost all the way to 15 before my eyes were too heavy to keep open and I had to log, mid-quest, still in Durotar. Almost done there and very ready to move on to the Barrens.

I'd forgotten how fun lvls and quests can be. They really did a neat job revamping the starting zone quests and incorparating the changes made to the landscape in Cataclysm. While I know it's lowbie stuff, I love how fast mobs are dying and really like Kill Command (starting out BM of course.) Until I find some higher lvl mobs, I don't even really need to use my Sting. I just Steady, Arcane, and KC as the mob passes my pet.

I was very thankful to get a bow from a quest reward finally. I can't pinpoint why, but I really dislike the animation & sound of guns and don't understand why there are so many of them being carried by random boars and raptors. Tongue out

SO looking forward to getting to 18 so I can get another pet, and you *know* it will have to be Echeyakee!

The first thing I did when 4.0.1 came out was make a, please don't shoot me, NE Mage.  I have to agree on the lvling, its a lot of fun now, and some of the changes to the flow are awesome.  Only problem I've had with the heirlooms and guild perk, is lvling out of zones before they are done.  Its still a blast though.

Very nice! The scorpid really fits my character (I *am* on an RP server, stop judging me!) so I plan on sticking with it, though I'll likely keep "upgrading" it as I lvl, not necessarily filling up my stable with random scorpids icon_wink I believe Death Flayer is next in line icon_wink I'll be seeking him out tonight!

OMG totally forgot I started this thread >.<

Jhaerok is 37 now! I tamed a green turtle from Blackfathom and he (Krank) is now my main pet. Vito (Echeyakee) is his stable mate. I guess I forgot all about the scorpid thing, lol. I started out intending to finish all the quests in each zone before moving on, but with Herbalism & Mining I outleveled zone quests so fast I had almost all grey & green quests. I decided it would be better to just go back and do them after I can fly.

Getting to 20 and a mount was the most painful, and now wishing I could fly is eating away at me, but decked out in all the heirlooms I can carry plus guild xp bonuses has made the levels FLY by. So that's been fun. I've been queuing for randoms and discovered how fun they can be- compared to the 85 randoms, heroics in particular, the lowbie LFD seems mostly full of people wanting to have FUN and enjoy the group experience. Good times. I even had a group that was so fun *Maraudon* was a treat. That's sayin something!

I'll ty to remember to post here more but so far re-living the lowbie hunter experience is a lot of fun. I honestly don't remember "the old days" on Oz, he may as well have been 85 forever lol.

Oh, and I continue to be blown away by the artwork and changes made to "old" Azeroth; Ashenvale, Barrens, and Stonetalon look awesome. Certainly helps I've had major hardware upgrades since I last spent any time there, but still, kudos to Bliz for that!

The feel of Stonetalon Mountains drastically changed post-Cataclysm. I fly by it every so often during Archaeology, and it's definitely not the quiet refuge it used to be. People always say there's a full-blown war in Ashenvale, but it's probably more intense in Stonetalon.

I am stunned by the changes to Stonetalon and Ashenvale as well.  I really want to level a lowbie, Ozzie, that is a great idea, but have yet to really do it.  I just dont seem to have the itme lately.  Hmmm…. lol

I totally missed this Ozzie.  No thanking me, it's been great having you in guild, too!  You aren't shy of the many chatty women we have, which is great, and a nice addition to Anj and Drach.  Love having you hanging around, and glad you are enjoying the leveling!

Again, I've totally neglected this "diary" and that's sad. Playing the lowbie continues to be really fun, but I've got a few other projects I'm working on in-game that have divided my time. Jhaerok is 40 now, and I can hardly stand to wait the next 20 levels until he can FLY!

I've also newly found some fun as a level 30-something Orc Warrior. I'm starting to think I shoulda been an Orc all along! My warrior, much like my Hunter, can pretty much non-stop pull anything and everything in his path, and his survivability seems fairly high for his level too. Cleave ftw!

I've decided that come Hell of high water (either could be right around the corner with this Missouri weather we've been having!) I am going to level and max out Oz's Archaeology. Yep, I'm *that* bored. No, actually it's been very interesting and I've got a few blue rares, just fun little toys, but enough to give me that itch to find an epic, or maybe that's sand in my leggings, not sure.

Lastly, my pally, who has been 85, is now finally getting geared to tank Cata heroics. He's a project born more from the guild's interest than mine, but I have to say, while not *nearly* as fun as being a Hunter, I'm enjoying the tanking I've done so far, learning the new mechanics etc, and I look forward to tanking a raid boss for a change of pace. NOTHING beats being a bad-ass, full of utility Hunter though, so don't worry, Oz & Jhaerok will continue on.
