Yes, two of five of those. In some cases, I *think* that some of the other Triumph gear pieces may be better in the slot. Then again, maybe just waiting the new stuff to come in might be beneficial as well. I do not know if the new currencies will be in place today, next week, or whenever. My background downloader is moving with patch 4.xx content as I type, so not sure… One of the more experienced raiders will have much better input on this than I could.

I'm just gonna shoot for that T9 set. It's reasonable and totally doable. As Gar stated above, it's lvl 232 and a good enough place as any to just chill in and wait for Cat. I'm already getting ahead of myself by not chilling when I said I would, ie dinging 
, so I'll just make that my immediate goal and be done with it. At the very least it will get me into ICC if anyone chooses to invite me along. If anything better drops along the way, so be it.
You guys have been great. Sorry to make you all explain stuff that's already been said ad nauseum over the past few years. I'm usually not that guy. I try to do all my own research before asking any questions, but got a little carried away. It's been a rough two months to say the least.

No worries Kurozu… It'd be next to impossible to gather all of the knowledged you've learned the past several weeks without asking some specifics. Sometimes you just gotta cut to the chase.

That's good of you both to say. The help is much appreciated.
I was able to get the chest and legguards last night with 6 emblems to spare. Should be no problem getting 54 more tonight for hands and shoulders and that just leaves the helmet. Got a couple of lvl 200 purples as well. Gonna gem everything up with the cheaper blues to save some gold and then CHILL! For real this time…maybe.

Off set shoulders from the triumph stuff are really nice, so grab those, the off set helm… Not so much.
I used the cheap blue gems on my alts until they actually got gear worth using the epic ones on, which surprising the epic ones weren't that much more expensive on my server.

Get this. Two nights ago when I bought my first two T9's I farmed like 50 or so Triumph in about 5 hours. The Q was super fast and all my groups were awesome. Last night, two hours of playing, and I hadn't completed a single dungeon. The groups were horrible. At one point I got stuck somewhere, and couldn't find my corpse. No one could rez me as they all disbanded. When I finally got back and re-q'd, I joined a group on the LAST boss. Two minutes later the dungeon is complete and the boss dropped some CRAZY weapon that vendors for 24g (not equipped) and a gun that was 30+ DPS higher than what I already had! So in the end it totally paid off.
A friend of mine hooked me up with a new ring, and tonight I'll get my helm to complete the T9 set. I have a crafter who's going to cut my gems for me, so it will allow me to just pay for the raw versions. I was gonna do just blues, but I figure for around 600g I can just go with all epics. Might as well, right?

This is exactly what I've been doing with my honor points. I've bought all the pvp gear I can get without having an arena ranking, so I just spend the honor points on gems.

Whoa, really?! You can get Cardinal Rubies and all the other good stuff we need from there? That's pretty cool. What do you reckon I can get for 19 honor points? Do they sell costume jewelery?! LOL
To be honest, I don't even know where I got the 19 from. I've never actually faced anyone except this one druid who pestered me till I accepted then proceeded to 3-strike me into oblivion. He waltzed right past my pet like it wasn't even there. I'm not exactly wanting to do that again anytime soon.

Hit Wintergrasp and spend your time getting lost and pummeling things. Weed, mine, ski…wait, you can't skin there. There is something just plain wrong about skinning the opposing faction. Would be nice, for some I run up against.
I digress…. You were nervous about hitting . You were nervous about gearing. You were nervous about pugging. You blew doors on all of that, and then some. PVP – Just try it. What have you got to loose?

10,000 honor for one uncut gem. It doesn't take long to get that much honor though. Hit Wintergrasp when its up and you can honor pretty quick there. Also, if you have any http://www.wowhead.com/item=43228 you can trade them in for http://www.wowhead.com/item=44115.

Actually, I wound up getting everything I needed for nothing. My sister met me in Dal with a bag full of gems and insisted I keep my gold. She also hooked me up with the most ridiculously sweet pair of boots. <3
Still haven't fully gemmed up yet as I'm thinking maybe I should have gone with Epaulets of the Devourer as Indo mentioned above. I didn't want to over complicate things two whole days ago, but now I see they are clearly the better choice. So long as I retain both T9 set bonuses from just the four pieces I guess I'll go with those shoulders instead.
I also got lucky with decent bracers dropping last night, so now I need to start focusing on replacing the rest of the stuff.
So much for chilling. I'm sick I tell you! HAHA!
