You know you want to transmogrify it.

Should be pretty easy, there are a lot of lookie-loos about. One is a vendor item for the wotlk alliance faction.
Other noteworthy guns:

Overpowered Chicken Splitter:

Only compound bow in game, pretty cool.

Also, bonus points for being undead with it.

My money''s on Recoilless Rocket Ripper. Or the Gyrobalanced Khorium Destroyer. Come to think of it, my Troll''s 68 and in Outlands…hmm. 
Too bad the Vengeful bow isn't available any longer in-game.
EDIT: the Gyrobalanced Khorium Destroyer is the same model as Don Santos' Famous Hunting Rifle, which is a harder to find World Drop.

That's quite a screenshot gallery. Definitely presents some good ideas for Transmogrification, but I especially like the little quips.
"The right to 'bear arms'… lol.
The Core Marksman rifle… I remember the first time I saw a hunter sporting one of those. It reminded me of something Jim Carrey would've been packing in The Mask.

Here's what I will be sporting.
I remember running around with this just hear all the qq about how it wasn't a Hunter weapon. I knew it wasn't, but I just liked seeing everyone get all uptight about it. Ahhh….the memories.

I haven't given a whole lot of thought to what my Transmogrification setup will be, but I will be displaying this for my ranged weapon…
Screenshots unfortunately don't do it all that much justice, but in-game it's a beauty. However, that's not the only reason why I'm going to proudly feature this amazing-looking weapon. There's more to it than that.

Clarification needed: Can I Transmog a crossbow to a bow? Logic says no, but the God-forsaken GUN sound of the Lava Bolt Crossbow is just killin' me <sobs>

I'm with you, if I remember correct, I think that it is possible. I remember reading something saying that hunters would be able to transmog their weapons into other weapons, for the reason of people being annoyed with their gunshots could transmog into a bow. That's my thought anyways, I'm gonna be rolling with the Bristleblitz Striker.

My understanding is, you CAN transmog a gun to a bow, BUT it is only for looks, it will still sound like a gun.

Oh wow, I had no idea there there that many guns – I get rid of them as quickly as possible.
I want the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas since the odds of me getting the one from ICC back are slim to none.
Ozzy – it would be nice not to have to mute you so I don't have to listen to your bow go bang.

I use and addon called Headshot that changes the standard bang noise into a silenced shot… sounds cool.

I went and checked out Headshot on WoWInterface. That addon looks pretty amusing. I especially like the idea of having different sounds for misses, crits, immunity, etc…

I want the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas since the odds of me getting the one from ICC back are slim to none.
awwwh, we should make this a run priority. does it matter if it's heroic or norm?

I look at this too – what a GREAT find. I get so focused in raids that having the audio tickler to alert me for crits would be WUNNNERFUL. Thank you so much.

I took this from the blizzard article announcing transmog:
Placing an item into the Transmogrifier interface will offer a preview of how the item will appear once the change is applied. However, not all item pairings are compatible with Transmogrification. In general, only items that have stats can be used in the transmogrification process. You must also be able to wear both items when using this service. Ethereals don’t have much in the way of ethics, but allowing someone to appear as if they’re equipping unusable items crosses the line. Similarly, they won’t allow you to change weapon or armor types. Sneaky death knights can’t make that breastplate look like a cloth robe, and you can’t make a one-handed axe look like a two-handed axe, or transform a sword’s appearance into that of a mace. Guns, bows, and crossbows will be the exception to this rule. You will finally be able to retain your dwarf’s racial gun bonus while appearing with all the splendor and elegance of a bow wielder (or at least the relative silence of one).
So it does sound like we can transmog a gun into a bow and enjoy the silence of the bow, which is really cool. Also, its cool that they're giving us more freedom since we are able to transmog our ranged weapons into any other ranged weapon, which can't be done with like a sword into a polearm. It's cool to have that freedom, but as its been stated it is only cosmetic, so if you have a gun and transmog it into a bow, it won't "become" a bow, meaning the racial bonuses will still be attached to it as a gun, and vice versa for bows into guns. So we can "silence" our guns or xbows that sound like guns!

Niika – I don't think it matters on the ICC run – that bow was my favorite and I wish I wouldn't have sold it.
I have never done Sunwell so that would be fun regardless and maybe the Golden Bow of Quel'Thalas will drop.

Do you know you can have the item reinstated if you have the item ID number?
Also, i *heard* that we'll be able to buy back old armor you earned/bought from the new Darkmoon Faire. I know there are some Dragonstalker items i could kick myself for not keeping. Brain is too addled to find the blue where i read this though…
