In my rush of euphoria over the announcement of transmogrification, I caught myself thinking things like "Rift Stalker set here I come!" In reality, though, I have always thought/hoped that hunters would have a more toned-down, leathery kinda look to them. With a hat instead of a helm.

That got me to looking at simpler shoulders to go with armor that has more plain and earthy tones (like browns and blacks…leathery looking stuff that a HUNTER would actually wear). Unfortunately there are no mail class wide brimmed hats in those colors (only a pair of mail hats and they both have the zebra accents instead of the much more hutnery black hat with cheetah accents ).

Nevertheless, my search continues and the more I look at the plainer armor, the more I think it fits the FEEL of my class. A hutner stalks and trys to blend in. Who can blend in while they have lightning crackling on there shoulders?! Amirite?

What do you all think? Big and showy or toned-down and stealthy?

Niika, IC, wears leather, and little of it, and tends towards daggers and bows, bare feet and covered in the elements, rather than flashy swords or giant polearms and clunky boots. I'm on an rp server, and she has a sketchy past of survival and having a mental breakdown after leaving her family. I've heard everything from 'she looks like a caveman' to "i've got some mageweave armor if she needs to warm up" to propositions (while i'm describing in accurate detail just how truly dirt-covered and leaf-tangled she truly is)

I think I have a hat that fits your description in her inventory. It's a grey item though, so not sure it will suit for the transmogamathingy.

I agree with you – stealth and elements and living with nature is what i think

And honestly, that sounds a little, shall we say, risk-kayyyy, isn't this a family game? icon_wink

"leather, and little of it" sounds to me like the "adult" Cat Woman Halloween costume, lol.

I always thought Beast Stalker had the right "look" for Hunters. It looks like and something a Hunter could move around in without to many problems. Beast Stalker was removed from the game, BUT I discovered there is armor that is a recolor of Beast Stalker. You can get them from non-heroic instances in Outlands. I've collect all the pieces.

Halberd of Smiting not available anymore, glad still got it in the bank

think it all looks pretty good together, tho ill have to farm gronstalker and need to check to see if have helm in bank still. What do yall think?

i was thinking dirty and feral, but hey, if that turns you on, Ozzie, you are welcome to it in the dark recesses of your mind. Have you *ever* gone camping for many days at a time? hehheeee I guess I should rephrase that to a leather vest and leather pedal pushers, does that help?

Good lord, the Gronnstalker freaked me out almost as much as the fish egg shoulders do now.

As for camping, it's been years and years since I've been, though I certainly wouldn't mind going. And hey, leather & feral could be hawt, but like I said, you gotta rock that one hairstyle with it, you know the one I mean icon_wink

Ozzie, i don't know what it is with you guys and that muttonhead look. I do know which one you mean, which is why i will NOT post cruise photos. it is decidedly NOT hot.

wow, derail time. I too am looking forward to transmogs, however, I do wish it would translate to greys and whites too.

Upon further inspection I note that the Battered Jungle Hat has bonus armor in green text (I believe making it eligible for trasmog purposes) and it doesn't have an armor type. Any thoughts on if I'll be able to make my mail helm look like it? God I hope so! My 'stealthy' hunter look would be coming together quite nicely then. >=)

My understanding is it has to be "mail" to "mail". So if it gives no armor type, I'm going to guess it's not allowed.
