Hello everyone, I am Atharun, I recently left Moon Guard to join an oceanic server due to my work schedule so that I may raid. However I feel so disjointed. Any advice on how to improve my hunter would be welcome. I know my pants and pole arm need an upgrade, just bad luck on that but what else can I do?

Can you give us your shot rotation? What are you doing for DPS and in what run? And can I get you to swap out your bluish gem to a +10 all stats? And glad to see you've joined The Lodge.

Atharun, how often do you use arcane shot? if you're not using it that often you may find dropping the points from improved arcane shot and maxing out improved steady shot will benefit you. That will leave you with one point left that you can put where ever you feel comfortable. I have mine in improved hunter's mark. You're over the hit cap though so I would advise you to consider staying away from focused aim unless you feel you really need the pushback reduction.
Also, I don't see it as mandatory, but raiding with a wolf will increase your DPS as well. And at lest max your skinning out, the crit increase is the reason you keep skinning once you get to 
. Mining gives you a health increase, nice for PVP I'm sure, but not needed for PVE. Maybe consider picking up enchanting or jewelcrafting (if you go with JC, keep mining and drop skinning).
Lastly, are you using the top level of ammo? It's so simple, but so easily overlooked and it will net you an increase in DPS.

I know I held out for the longest time on getting a wolf. I was happy with my raptor. Then I started hitting ICC stuff and was seeing how much I had fallen behind other Hunters in dps. So I decided to get a wolf and see how much of a difference it made. I was surprised at how much dps it boosts you. That being said though, if you like having something besides a wolf, a cat isn't a bad choice. Raptors and cats are probably the top non-wolf pets for dps.

Ok, well I changed my spec, the link up top should have the new spec. I dropped IMp arcane and maxed Imp Steady Shot. I have droped Arcane from my rotation and got myself a wolf. Also I chose skinning for the crit and mining for a farming proff to make gold. Also i use the glyph of steady shot over Chimera because it gives my steadies 10% more dmg while Serpent Sting is up which is all fight and to me that's a bigger gain then 1 extra chimera a minute considering how often I use steady shot especially now with dropping arcane. i am currently at 559 ArmPen and also have the NES that when it procs, puts me to ~86%. Anything else you ladies and gents think is worth changing? I have tried for a Hilt to get the nice two hander since ICC hates me. I also have the mark of Supremacy but I am over hit but is the extra 1k AP every two minutes worth the proc from NES?

Also should I drop my Stakethrower for Zod's? I lose a nice chuck of stats such as Arp and what not for a chance for a freebie? Also is the Herkuml war token worth getting or shoudl i keep NES and WFS?

Your ranged DPS should be better with Zod's. You are not yet to a point where Armor Penetration is making a huge difference in your overall dps (and checking gem changes on FemaleDwarf.com to all arpen, shows a dps loss), so it would be better to be sporting 32.3 more ranged dps than the additional 2.21% armor penetration. I am using Herkumi/WS, and have the NES. I realize more DPS with Herkumi/WS combination, however, our stats are very very different. What if you got Herkumi on one of your ICC runs and tried it out on a boss or two? You can always return it and get your badges back in the front lobby if you aren't seeing an improvement.
Ugh, it's the JC'er in me, but if you are going to place that blue in your chest, be sure to pop in the Agi/Crit orange gem (deadly ametrine) so you can pick up crit and get a nice agi socket bonus? Feel free to tell me to go pound sand, but I think it's a tiny help.
Finally, what does your dps look like, if I may ask?

Yeah haha, I messed up and dropped my tear in the wrong slot so I have to buy a new gem and new tear. But are you sure HWT is better than NEW considering NES proc?

No, I am not in the least. That's why i'm suggesting the 'loaner' to see it in action. My hunch is that you are right at the bridge where Arpen might make a difference, however, the haste might make more of a difference, so it is best to compare in a live situation. In Female Dwarf, the herkumi makes more of an impact, as do your current gem set compared to a change to armor pen. The guys can do a MUCH better explanation of it than I ever could (I'm more of a "try live and see" girl than a theorycrafter) I LOVE that the vendors are on the first floor. I can try things out and return them within the two hours if it is not a fit.
Be sure not to gem and enchant them if you do this for gear, however, as that makes it non-refundable.
Wish you were still on MG, i'd toss you a new tear. And I forget which i'm slotting all the time, and i so know better. Also – Gar recommends agi/crit in yellow slots for an Agi MM (you are still what I would consider an Agi MM, just on the cusp) and I heartily second that. There are some of us in either camp, however, so you'd probably want to try it out and see what works for you more.

So I recently got some upgrades and some downgrades….I bought the vengeful noose only to find that the mail 251 belt from ICC is superior and I also won Distant land but still find dual wielding the Axe off 10 man Marrow and the Knife from 10 man PP superior. Am I doing something wrong? I feel like I am getting upgrades but the assortments of trying to balance stats seems to be spinning me in circles. Between half the gear stacking haste, the rest with crit and arm pen I am going crazy.
