Completely agree, Malice.
I'm not even focusing on arpen any longer. It's too close to Cat for me, and I want to focus on watching my shots. now that I know my modem's been an issue in the last two runs, I am working on sustaining 10K on boss fights for this run. That, and making gold. As soon as Cat hits, I want old world flying. That is more important to me than toping the charts right now.

Oh don't get me wrong the MM balancing act is a dance. Arm Pen was something I avoided like the plague to start out, hell I have about 5 pieces of 264 in my bank I was wearing before I gave up the fight. I was up to 12% Haste cause I avoided all Pieces with Arm Pen, lol. Niika has a point, it is getting so close to cata, I know my raids are hurting from it.
Only reason I broke down and went to MM (I'm survi at heart!) is cause I was sitting at 
0 Arm Pen from my gear. Now I can't seem to get my last 100!

0 is fine to gem for it – have you started? Sorry, the jewelcrafter in me will Not Stay Down, and it keeps saying Error Loading Tooltip.
My arpen when I first started getting ICC drops was sitting pretty at 450ish. Then all of a sudden EVERYthing I got was Hit or haste, lacking in arpen. I had more Hit at one point, then penetration, it was a joke (refer to my whiny post somewhere on here…) Watched Tak quietly talking about his high level dps as agi MM and I changed my focus. Now, to me, the armor pen focus is at a level that like Indomitable is at, and some place I know I will not attain before Cat hits, so I'm just going to focus on getting my guild more experience in raiding (I run the largest social guild on Moon Guard) and ready for new content. That in itself is a full time job.
There are so many things to focus on, and there is no one right way to do everything. I was SV forever before hitting MM, my hat is off to you for staying with it as long as you did! I LOVE that lock and load and BA sound. Very very nice.
Actually, what I am dying for, is for BM to become a good raiding spec once more. So hoping that will happen in Cat.

On the outset of using the 4p it would seem like it's counterproductive, but truthfully, you don't need to rush to gem ArP, it will come with time, what you aim to do is maximize your damage with the gear you have available to you, and the ease of attaining 4p makes it very hard to ignore it, especially with how strong set bonuses are.

OK! Tried out SV on fester, switched to MM for Rot, and compared the dps. I did 1k more dps in MM, and rot has much more movement. So i'm pretty sure my gear is better for MM. Goin to try again for consistency, but I still enjoy MM better as of now.
I'm gonna go ahead and finish out the t10 set, it can't hurt. Not gonna go crazy about the ArP, i'm pullin great DPS anyway, and I like Niika's plan, think i'll focus on my LK kill more! =)

I'm glad you feel more confident about things. What did your damage look like for both?
I was so happy with my showing last night. Top five in dps, and #2 in overall damage for the night.
Interestingly enough, the #1 deeps belonged to a rogue who couldn't stay alive. Her lovely 13K dps would have been nice, had she been situationally aware and stayed alive. She pulled #16 in overall damage for the night. not sure what to say to this person since I know the healers were on top of the game… *sighs*

I pulled 8.9k in SV and 9.9k in MM, which put me in 6th while SV and 4th in MM on the DPS meter for those fights. I don't recall the actual number, but I was 2nd for overall dmg for the raid, behind that one badass DK I wanna be when my DK grows up!
So just shy of 10k in a movement heavy fight like Rot… that's nothing to sneeze at! I also tried SV in one attempt versus Putricide, but in the end of phase 3 I kept looking for my damn readiness button to get off those extra kill command/kill shots but it wasnt there! And we ended up wiping on the berserk timer with 10% of his health left (bummer!). So I went back to MM for the next pull haha! Did I mention I like MM more?!?! lol Readiness FTW!
