Gawd I am a slobbering fool for frost emblems. I'm slowly trying to eek my way up and am not in a delicate dilemma. I have about 95 or 100 of the suckers, and cannot decide my next piece:
Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Handguards
or
or suck them all down at once and get
Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Tunic
or
And after all my veritable whininess about Too Much Hit about a month back, I am not sitting at slot-shuffling to beat the bare minimum again. I am also seriously bumming about loosing my t9 set bonus.
So, thoughts? My armory is in my signature below.

I've been told the current goal for raiding Hunters gear wise, is to acquire the 4pc set bonus of Ahn'kahar which supposedly trumps just about everything else currently out there. Its what I'm shooting for right now.

I'd say go with the T10! The 4 set procs all the time and 20% AP is Sexy =D

4 Piece for sure with the off set legs, ideally your gear is going to wind up looking very similar to mine, maybe with more normal mode pieces, but that's the gearing style that works best.

Do you raid at all 10? 25? The Leggings of Northern Lights off of Lady D 25 is what I rock in my none tier spot.

It's not like there's much choice when it comes to ICC gear levels for legs, either Leggings of the Northern Lights or Draconic Bonesplinter Leggings. That's really the only choices if you want to properly itemize yourself, as the T10 leggings are super terrible, the only reason to ever use them is if you got them from vault and had nothing better.

Three to four hunters run in my ICC25's, so I am slow to get the tokens. I also do not count on drops, since I am a terribad roller for the most part.
I think I've decided to get gloves next, and break my T9 set bonus, than head for my last piece before Cat hits.

Well, I got the gloves, and #2 in damage for the night, I think 4 or 5 (can't remember which) for dps for the night. Was pretty happy since I spent most of my night coaching a lot of newbies so was very distracted.
Guys, I would KILL to see Lady D drop those leggings. Is it on normal or heroic? I've yet to see them drop. Yes, I know thottbot. Yes, I am being lazy. :-p

All the drops in 25 are the same for regular vs heroic. So the loot table is the same items, just heroic is slightly better =D

I have seen them drop once but I didnt roll on them because my draconics looked slightly better in comparison at the time, and didnt want to waste my EPGP points because i'm waiting for DBW to drop for me. After I get that, i'll consider rolling for the legs next time they drop =)

…can I tell you a really sad DBW story….? It goes like this.
Raiding with my son in the room, he's working on the beta, I'm in ICC… DBW drops, I casually mention it to him. He plays an end game raiding hunter, we compare stuff all the time. He tosses off "That's baaaaad for a hunter. I want that on my rogue."
Me: "Really? So Tok could use it?"
Him (not really paying attention): hell yeah, best in slot.
Me: tries it out, HATES looking like a stupid hairy male vrykul. Also notice that my DPS is off (which of course, I had not yet attributed to my faulty hardware) and close to the end of 2 hours, give it to Tok. He looks at me, dubiously, going "…wow, are you sure?"
His dps with it shoots through the roof. It's amazing. I feel totally justified and am happy. Then I hear my son on the next login going…
"…you did WHAT?? That's best in slot for hunter too! Gawd, totally embarassed to admit that you are my mother sometimes…."
/sighs, remembering the days when kids would be embarrassed by being dropped off by station wagons in the front of school, yet now are embarrassed by stupid loot handling instead.

I actually like it better than the old fashioned need/greed roll system. It's more fair for people who show up on time to every raid, then is to the casual once-in-awhile raider, and since i'm in the former catagory it works very well for me. I have enough EPGP built up that I can pretty much get whatever I want with the exception of the tokens… guild leader always beats me out for those cuz he has way more pts than me =/
My 9 yr old has been begging for months to let him play WoW, but everytime I even consider considering it, I see the idiots in trade chat runnin thier mouths and I reconsider the original consideration! He's always like "but mooooom, I will stay outta trade and you can put the filter on"…. yea that doesnt help cuz the same idiots end up your raids and random groups all the time… sorry, maybe when your 18! =)
