I'm kind of new to the thought of having one lvl icon_eek char.

I know what i should aim for to boost my DPS, but still i want some advice. In the beginning i find it kind of har, knowing where to start.

I hope this is working : http://eu.wowarmory.com/charac…..mp;cn=Enca

Ok, here goes:

(1) Upgrade your gear by running heroic 5 mans. Badge gear is pretty easy to acquire these days.

(2) Enchant your gear, Gar has a good guide here: http://huntsmanslodge.com/gars…..r-enchants

(3) Replace your trinkets. The ones you have equipped on your armory aren't doing you any good for PvE. Again you can get these from heroic runs and badges.

(4) I recommend the following glyphs: Serpent Sting, Kill Shot, Steady Shot, Mend Pet, Revive Pet and Feign Death.

(5) Redo your talent tree. You have dual spec, I recommend making use of it. I have a raiding spec and a pvp spec. Again, I point you to Gar's guides:

Raiding: http://huntsmanslodge.com/the-…..rksmanship

I hope this helps. You look to be on the right track, you just need to do some tweeking of things.

Enca,  never ever ever wait on enchants or gems; you are missing out on a huge chunk of DPS, and with it, the happy smiles of your raiding friends.  Even if you can't afford the +10 stats to chest, for instance, the +8 is far better than nothing.  And the blue and green quality of the delicate series can go for a few gold per socket.  It is really worth it.

More instances = more opportunities for enchanting materials to drop = more opportunities to gem and enchant yourself = higher DPS and more invites = more instances… you see what I mean?  I like to think of it as leveling up in a different way.  Not levels that you can physically see on your character pane, but truly adds to your levels of DPS increasing.

Hello Enca,

Grats on the World Cup. icon_biggrin

Sorry I'm a little late to the party, but I've been pretty busy the past couple of days. :-\

Takaas and Niika both said pretty much the same thing I would've told you, but I do have two minor suggestions.

Get your minor glyphs. Glyph of Feign Death, Mend Pet and either Revive Pet or Pack for the 3rd slot. A shorter cooldown on Feign Death is always handy, and Mend Pet just helps to make sure your pet is always at full happiness and contributing its best possible DPS.

The other suggestion is to work on getting your Enchanting leveled. You're missing out on the ring enchants right now.

Again, those are just minor tips. The other helpful folks in the forum have already given you the best advice.

Im allready following http://huntsmanslodge.com/gars…..r-enchants to gear up, and gain some dps-boost.

I've spent like ~500g but allready feeling the boost, im not the worst dps in group!

Im working alot, but i'll be keeping the dps-boosting up!

Thanks again fellow hunters!

Hello Hunters!

Now i gained some better gear, enchants and gems.. on my way..

Should i still spam those random heroics, or should i try to get some raid experince? (Actually i never done a raid.. okey.. i have..but thats lik 4-5 times)..Seeing myself as a noob/huntard/newbie..

Whats the next step, thats the real question icon_smile

Thanks, nighty!

Hey hun!  I"m glad to hear you are doing better!  That is great!  Still work on enchanting though, like Gar said.  Those ring enchants are ideal, and you will be able to get more enchanting mats in your runs.  You would really benefit from ring enchants and won't have to spend as much money.

Secondly, I would personally still consider running at the very least, one heroic a day, at least for the frost emblems, however, you can benefit from the Triumph gear.  You are still shy for handling some of the Icecrown raids, however, once you get rid of your resilience gear, certainly look to the Ulduar and ToC runs, where you can also still get upgrades and practice your rotation and working in a team for boss fights.  If you just logged out in your resilience gear, don't mind me, just seeing what the server says.

The next step?  Bit of advice – get the triumph Windrunner's gear for two peices.  You will upgrade two pieces (do the chest and the boots) and get the lovely T-9 set bonus procs.

Get your rep for Hodir and Ebon Blade maxed.  I am not sure, but you may be able to use your Triumph badges here?  I could be wrong there, but I know there's a way to use badges to help get maxed out, if you aren't into farming rep.

Try to put Massacre on your staff.  it's awesome, and Powerful Stats on your chest.

Trial of the Crusader, normal and heroic, yields some good drops for you now.  The bows in there are very nice.  I'm a traditionalist, and prefer bows and crossbows, and picked up a Death's Head in there and used it until this week's ICC run.  Seems everyone around me was toting guns, so it was a nice change of pace.

I hope that helps, and know others will chime in and am glad to hear you are doing better.

Some upgrades you can get that will help and don't have to raid to get:

Felglacier Bolter: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50262  (Heroic Pit of Saron)
Orc Hunter's Harpoon: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50296  (Heroic Halls of Reflection)
Needle Encrusted Scorpid: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50198  (Heroic Forge of Souls)

Keep running those heroics for badges and get the two piece tier 9 bonus, which is a good boost to dps. Also, running the heroic ICC 5 man instances will give you good practise for stuff headed your way in raids.

Tnx for nice list Takass, still struggling to get the trinket.. i've seen it drop like 3-4 times every single time warrior or rogue needed it and overrolled me… aah nevermind i know i will get it…

I've been following you're other tips and advice, never understand that reputation advice? Tried to find out "why be excalted with Ebon blade?" but didnt get wise.

Got a nice new chest from a fellow LW, nice!

One more question, how do i get T-9 set?

perhaps saying -"i'm tired"- explains my lousy post.

Thanks again! icon_smile

(1) You can get a couple of nice gear "enchants" from being exalted with a couple of factions.

Ebon Blade: http://www.wowhead.com/item=44149

Sons of Hodir: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50335

(2) T- 9 gear can be purchased with Frost emblems. Get two pieces of the set to get the two piece bonus, which makes your Serpent Sting critical hit.
