Hi guys

I have been working my butt off trying to gear up the best that i can. spent all weekend about 14-15hrs per day getting gear and JP for gear. I think i am gemmed and enchanted correctly but wanted to run it by you guys. just upgraded all my gems tonight. if there is anything else that you see i need to do please let me know. Ohh and i know the PvP bow does not do me any good but i have not come up with anything yet that even comes close to the stats. i am hitting about an average of 10.5k dps i think there is more available is why i am asking the experts here. I always use a SB just varies to which one since i get bored always using the same pet.

thanks again

My initial thoughts are that you should be going for the socket bonuses in your legs and shoulders, and you need to get your hit rating up.

Put a 40 hit gem in your legs' blue socket, and a 20 agility / 20 crit in your shoulders.

You've reforged a lot of hit into other stats, but you're well under where you need to be. You're at 6.37%, but you should be at 8%.

You need 196 more hit rating to be capped, but if you follow my regemming suggestions, you'll only need 146 more hit rating. Reforge some of your stats back to hit – trying to get as close to 961 without going under.

Your stat weights should be:

  1. Hit (until you're capped at 8%, ie: 961)
  2. Agility
  3. Crit
  4. Haste
  5. Mastery

Hi Yag,

I second what Gar said and also wanted to give you some feedback for numbers as I'm just a few points below you, in MM spec, and am doing about the same numbers.  I think as BM spec, you are doing very well for output, personally.  Let's see how you do when you up that hit and move into some more crit.

Your looking pretty good. As was said by the previous posts, get that hit rating up. Pretty impressive pulling over 10k dps as BM. Keep up the good work!

One other thing Yag…

I looked at your specs. I'd change your dungeon spec to this: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#cfhfckGzRRofMMZz.

Just a few things I noticed

I am going to assume that you need all of your hit gems to make hit cap, if you dont replace them with Delicate rubys

Your gloves, there is a Major Agility enchant +20 agility and is better than the +50 haste unless that haste is needed to get you over the first haste plateau

Belt, get rid of the Yellow and socket a DIR (agility ruby)

Pants, fill them both with DIR and get the Dragonbone leg reinforcements (assuming you are LW) the 190 AP is about the same Agility as you have now but you get 55 Crit instead of the stamina (healers gonna heal icon_wink )

Boots, again get that DIR, but the enchant is BiS, as are those boots!!!

Head is perfect

Shoulders, lose that yellow for a DIR unless you need the hit, get your Therazane rep up for their sholder enchant

Back, that +50 crit was a spendy enchant and not the best one IMO, look at the major agility here too. but dont get rid of it until you get a better back unless you are looking to squeeze out every last dps

Chest, Since you are a LW (assuming by the bracer enchant) you should really make yourself the dragonkiller tunic (and the corded viper belt) They are both getting sockets in 4.1 and are good pieces you can make fairly cheap.

For the chest enchant, mighty stats +15 to all

Bracers are BiS until you are deep in raid.

Dont forget that VP eq is 50% off in 4.1 so save your VP for a good set of gear.

Good luck hunting.

-I would gem each and every socket with agility unless socket bonus is 30+, and maintain your hit cap by reforging, why? Because there's no other way of increasing your agility on your current gear, other than gemming and enchanting as the options let you do so. You cannot reforge into agility, but you can reforge into hit.

-Don't be upset about not having PvE bow, thus PvP bow has a tiny little higher dps value than that. You may test it on FD to see for yourself. the 3.00 weapon speed makes up for the -72 mastery I suppose.

-First thing you should ever do with valor points should be to buy the trinket of awesomeness and re-adjust your hit accordingly. It is out of question, the best trinket – must have- for every hunter.

-You may even get two pieces of Vicious gladiator set, until obtaining PvE epics, since it has a sweet 2pc bonus, and will considerably increase your dps until then. Suggesting this as a temporary solution, since amount of agility increase will be better than losing the secondary stats (reminding again "until obtaining 359ilvl PvE alternatives")

-And here's a " rel="nofollow" target="_blank">yummy list of what is coming up in 4.1 for near future considerations

I bid you good luck, and happy gearing up! icon_biggrin
