Hey all,

its been awhile since ive posted mainly cause ive been busy playing and school too. Lvling in cata was fun but surprisingly short.I just started playing cata after christmas so i guess im a bit late to the party but thats alright :p I found while plain my hunter i felt lost. ive messed around with talents and i no what my build should look like for pve and what not but for pvp. i ussually just play as mm due to the fast focus regen and the chimera shot heal is really nice especially with readiness up. And as far as pets go ive seen tons of different pets being used, everything from monkeys to crabs. currently im using a crab because pin in quiet nice. so what im trying to get at here is what are you guys using for pvp and what pets and what not. Also, while browsing for gear ive noticed there has been a division of a sort. If i can remember im pretty sure the gear eitehr has crit and hit or mastery and haste. i cant really remember so dont quote me on that. now mastery in some cases is really nice and crit is really important but ive been having a hard time pickign and choosing especially since ive noticed my stats having been on the low side since my gear is pretty bad right now.

so to recap cause this is alot to take in and some of it might not make sense cause im too lazy to edit it, i wanna no where you guys stand for pvp and what your doing. Id like to no what stats you guys are going with for pve and for pvp and why. it would halp meh alot cause since our people have changed so much with focus and all i dont no hunters as well as i once did icon_razz any comment is very much appreciated.

ps. i just noticed this is the 666th topic on these forums XD

Unfortunately I haven't put much time into PvP since Cata hit. I've done some in Tol Barad, but mostly to get reputation with Hellscream's Reach. So, I haven't looked real in depth as to what I may run for PvP. What I have been using is……..

(1) Bascially my current MM spec I use to run instances/solo. When I finally delve into battlegrounds I will probably do a PvP spec, picking up stuff like Concussive Barrage and Entrapment.

(2) Gear stats I've been pretty much running with what Mastery and Haste come with the gear. I've been gemming Agility and Hit. I'm not quite sure what I will do when I start getting PvP gear.

(3) Pet wise I usually run with a fox. Tailspin http://www.wowhead.com/spell=90314 is a great ability to have in PvP. If not that then a spider, crab or dog would probably still be good with their "pin" type moves. Monkeys are pretty good as well with their "blind" type move and were quite powerful, but got nerfed because people couldn't trinket out of it. What pet you use comes down to your playstyle in my book.

NOTE: Right now it's a tough world for Hunter's in PvP. We aren't cranking out the damage we should be, so have a hard time dealing with classes such as Warlocks and Mages who are incredibly OP in PvP right now. Hopefully with the next patch and the buffs we are getting we will start to see improvement. (Sorry to see you SV players out there getting a nerf the next patch.)

Beast Mastery has been serving me quite well. Here's the spec I run with: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#…..:zoscmVMzm

I'm toying with the idea of dropping GftT and picking up either Survival tactics or Entrapment instead, but for now it's working just fine.

My preferred pet is a Spirit Beast.

I had a feeling youd say that gar icon_razz and if i had the time and patients to tame a spirit beast then i would be bm but its hard with school and everything >_< bm just isnt the same with a really kick ass pet like a spirit beast.

Welll, the easiest SB pet must be Arcturis (the bear), as it appears to only have one spawn point.

It was also the first SB I ever tamed, so give BM a shot and just go for it icon_wink
