Hi all-have a question for BM soloing. Currently I'm @ L82 and find I'm rarely using or needing Bestial Wrath (which seems blasphemous) I'm thinking Misdirection might be a better choice for a Major slot until I start doing older content 5 mans.

Also, is Cobra a 'better' shot to use than Steady? For solo doesn't seem to be until, again I'm trying some extreme stuff. Any input appreciated.

Rarely use Bestial Wrath..? That's silly. Why wouldn't you?

Increasing your damage output and killing mobs quicker is certainly not a bad thing, not to mention the 10 seconds of reduced focus costs.

Cobra Shot is BM's new Steady Shot. Use it in place of Steady Shot always, unless the mob/player you're facing has crazy nature resists. Cobra Shot deals non-armor-mitigated poison damage, where as Steady Shot's damage is affected by the target's armor.

Cobra also acts as a refresher for Serpent Sting, which is good for longer fights (ie: old instance bosses).

These are the glyphs I would suggest:

Prime
Arcane Shot
Kill Command
Kill Shot

Major
Bestial Wrath
Disengage (or Misdirection)
Mending

Minor
Feign Death
Mend Pet
Revive Pet (or Scare Beast)

With Guard Dog, Thunderstomp, Intimidation, … I doubt you'll need the Glyph of Misdirection in most cases. One misdirect should be enough in nearly all situations. You may want to pick it up if you start soloing old instances, but for now I think you're fine without it.
