Tiny vent, not sure what anyone can do, but the hit drops on hunters have been insane for me lately.  I can't seem to get away from them.  I'm up to almost 400 hit, and can't get rid of it since it's on upgraded gear for me for all other stats.

/rant out.

That's ICC for ya. In the end, and upgrade's and upgrade. If it has extra hit, then so be it.

Just hang onto the pieces so you can mix/match as you obtain future upgrades.

Yeah, you are right.  As I explore end-game gear, it feels very disjointed for me, and I am wondering why there is so much hit-focused gear available.  Are they trying to homogenize stats?  It is contradictory to where they are going in the future.  Or, are they anticipating a rise in the hit cap for level 85?  (not percentage, however, the figure increases, so this gear should carry me five more levels?)

I really really really wanted to try an ArPen spec.  It just does not look like for me, that it will happen.  And it's too close to Cat for me to try and struggle for it now.

Yea, it's too bad they don't have reforging available yet.

It would definitely make sense that the hit cap is scaling up, it does with every level below icon_eek. It's good to know the ICC gear is going to be super effective for questing though. All that effort seems worth it, you know?

Ack, that is super sweet of you.  Thanks.  I just get so frustrated – I feel like every time I take two steps forward, I take one back.

One thing that is interesting to me, however, is that my armor pen suggests that I should add Arcane back into rotation, yet Female Dwarf and Test Dummies speak otherwise.  I was surprised by that.

Ackbar is right, all the ICC-geared people are going to storm through quests like monster trucks! Don't worry about the hit =)

Well, not that I've previewed all the gear or have a Cataclysm beta key, but I'd assume they'd like you to think about "dumping" your gear for 2-3 levels if you're a t10 raider. The over-hit may be needed because of the other stats they're putting on future gear (I guess combo new with old to get hit+ stats). Unsure though, I've never really been too concerned about hit while leveling, I guess i'm retarded. It's more of a raid-preparation stage to me. Heck, my feral druid is at like 350 hit so I really started dumping it (and actually managed to) with off-pieces with a tonne of more haste/ ARP. Only downside is I seem to lose crit since I've noticed that's what's attached to gear with hit (other than AP). Smart although, they don't want to mix something as currently overpowered as ARP with anything else important.

On another note, I saw a few more gems they're releasing, stuff like 64+ intellect ("dragon's eyes" but I think now they're "chimera's eyes"), other epic gems will be probably [40+ str] or say something like [20+agil/ 20+crit]. Double the power come Cataclysm? They may be nerfing overall power and scaling it down preportionately, but if you look at it, when things like that are doubling, it makes you wonder if it's really a nerf. I'd personally rather bigger numbers- they make me happy. I started before patch 3.1 so I'm even used to them. I almost had a heart attack when I saw a 75k crit on my MSBT/ Recount from one of my swipes. I died from it because it pulled some mobs off the tank. I love feral (not the dying part, but the killing mobs part). 1 button win ftw.
