Deterrence Now Deflects From Behind!

June 29, 2009

Well that’s good news… for PvP Hunters at least.
Deterrence is not only getting a new spell animation, but it’s also going to act like even more of a Hunter bubble.
Official Patch 3.2 PTR Notes on Deterrence

Deterrence: This ability now allows the hunter to parry spells and attacks from behind as well as in front. Now [...]

New T9 Hunter Set Bonuses

June 29, 2009

These are interesting buffs. I like them more than the previous bonuses, but I’m still not totally impressed. I wonder what the refresh rate is for the pet AP buff? If it’s anything like an IAotH proc, then this could be pretty nice.
I’m also assuming that the new boss encounters must be pretty pet friendly, [...]

SKOLL!

June 29, 2009

Please excuse my cheesy Strongbadian heavy metal moniker of this new Spirit Beast. I am a little sleep deprived at the moment and feeling a bit loopy.
I had a feeling that Blizzard wasn’t going to limit the Spirit Beast models to cats only. While my preference was for a black worg with a red aura, [...]

Hunter Season 7 Arena Armor

June 28, 2009

MMO Champion posted a sneak peek at some of the upcoming Season 7 Arena sets coming in 3.2. Here’s an early look at part of the Hunter Season 7 Arena PvP set coming in the next patch.
This is a really early look, so the model is missing the helm and shoulders which have yet to [...]

Tier 9 Hunter Armor Set Bonuses

June 28, 2009

(2) Set: Reduces the focus cost of your pet’s abilities by 50%.
(4) Set: Increases the critical strike chance of your Steady Shot ability by 5%.

What do you think of the Tier 9 Hunter set bonuses? I think they’re interesting, but I’d still prefer to see something along the lines of a straight AP buff and [...]

A Much Needed Break

June 28, 2009

Although my unfortunate computer troubles last week caused me a lot of grief from a business standpoint, it did provide me with a nice respite from WoW. I had been feeling pretty “bleh” about a lot of things in-game prior to last week, so this 8 day reset came at a nice time.
Even though it [...]

Back in the Saddle

June 28, 2009

I am pleased to announce that Apple elected to end my frustration by providing me with a brand new imac.
Apple finally conceded and determined that my imac was a lemon apparently. Very good call in my opinion.
Now I have me a brand spankin’ new imac with double the HD space (1 TB Yay!) [...]

Grrrrr…

June 26, 2009

So I just picked up my imac from the Apple Store, brought it home, plugged it in, then what did I see…? Nothing but a black screen. Hmmm…
It made the usual sounds when firing up, it’s just that the screen never came on.  I then proceeded to shut it down and then [...]

Good Thing I Bought AppleCare

June 23, 2009

For the second time within the past year, my incredibly sleek, stylish, fast, and supposedly virus-free, 24″ 3.0GHZ Intel imac has taken a crap on me.
The first time it died was due to a hard drive failure within six weeks of purchasing it. Needless to say I was more than a little bit pissed.
This time it’s the [...]

Hunter Class Changes on the WoW Patch 3.2 PTR

June 18, 2009

Any other Hunters out there feel like they just got kicked in the stomach?
I had high expectations for Patch 3.2 and how it was going to positively address the needs of Hunters in both PvE and PvP. While a couple of the changes are a step in the right direction, I feel like the devs [...]
