SNAFU

by Garwulf on September 16, 2009

I apologize to those of you who’d tried to view the site within the past 30+ hours. Yesterday at approximately 6pm PST my webhost suspended my account due to the server load it was causing in its shared environment. Problem was… my VPS was not quite ready for me, so my site went down for the count.

More on this later, but the good news is I’m back up and running. :)

We’re not out of the woods just yet. I’ve found there’s a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to managing a VPS. Although my webhost is doing most of the work in regards to server side changes, I’m having to make decisions based upon things I know little about.

So far it seems I may have undershot the site’s needs in terms of resources.
