I’m Still Fine Tuning The UI

I don’t have much for a real post today, but here’s a recent screenshot I took of my UI in a raid.

It seems just when I think it’s “done” I find something that needs fixing, or a way to configure something better. That’s just par for the course when you have a custom user interface. Once you start tailoring the interface to suit your needs, it’s an ongoing and never ending process of refining and tweaking things.

I’m really happy with it overall, so as soon as I think it’s pretty dialed-in, I’ll post a complete list of all the addons used along with a description of the whole thing.

I’m still messing with my Pitbull 4 unit frames and Power Auras. I’m also entertaining the idea of configuring Pitbull 4 for raid frames now that it’s supported.

Also, I’d mentioned this in a comment from an earlier post, but does anyone have a Power Auras setup for Mend Pet? I’m missing something, because I can’t seem to configure that properly. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Anyway, I just want to get some feedback from you wonderful folks regarding the look and feel of my new UI. Comments, suggestions, questions, etc…

Hey there, thanks for the reply on my ‘revive pet’powa aura issue. I’ve managed to get it working now so i’m stoked, a few more tweaks and i’ll be happy with my setup (atleast until 3.1).

I’m at work now but if no one has posted the string by the time i get home i’ll chuck mine up here. I had a quick look for the website I got it off but have been doing so much ‘wow homework’ it’s like a needle in a haystake.

I’m at work, so I don’t have access to WoW. I’ll try to post the Mend Pet power auras setup I’m using when I get home. If I remember correctly, this his how I’m doing it.

Activation tab

Activation by: Buff
Name: Mend Pet
Ignore Uppercase: yes
Unitname: (enter your pet’s name)

Timer tab

Show: yes
Show hundredths: no

That’s how I had mine set up for the most part. I’ve found the addon to be very easy to use for most every aura you want to setup, with the exception of this one.

If either of you guys have a string you could post, I’d be most appreciative. Thanks. :)

Glevlivet!!! LMAO Darkbrew!

Nice pet name.

I tried your script out and it worked like a charm. I’d had “cast by me” and “exact name” checked. Those were really the only differences I saw. Other than that, I just moved the auras around a bit, changed “Glenlivet” to “playerpet” and I was off and running.

I like the maple leaf aura. I’m keeping it.

I was wondering when you do come up with the perfect ui. with the garwulf addon package. could you make a video on how to set it up how you do, because i really like the style of how you set your ui up.

Hey! Just wanted to say your website helped me out a lot. Just wondering though what is the name of that add on that goes along the top? The one that displays your gold and whatnot.

Also i tried installing the addo n for the buffs that go along the top left and apparently they are out of date. Have a new one you can share with us?
