Strangely enough, I've been able to get this effect a couple of times since. It may be a mac-only thing, but if I put my computer to sleep while still logged in, then come back after 30-40 minutes, it will do this. The longer my comp is asleep, the longer the effect will last. The video here is just over 2 minutes, but it went on for about 6.5 minutes total. It’s pretty cool huh.
