Reach exalted reputation status with Warsong Gulch, The League of Arathor, and The Stormpike Guard… and you too can have a nifty title like the one I earned yesterday.
Don’t be in a hurry, however… this one can take a bit of time. ![]()
The Stormpike Guard rep is a breeze. Winning them over can be done fairly quickly. As I recall, I’m pretty sure I’d reached exalted with them before I’d even hit level 60 – back in the days of yore.
With the short queue times and the fast pace of today’s Alterac Valley matches, I’d be willing to bet a player could gain AV exalted status within a few days if they so desired. Win or lose, you’re always gaining at least some amount of rep while in AV.
The League of Arathor is much more difficult. Gaining exalted reputation with them can take quite some time. As with Alterac Valley, a player can earn rep in Arathi basin based upon the amount of resources secured, however, the rep gains in AB are very small.
Obtaining exalted rep with the Silverwing Sentinels can take for-ev-er. The only way to earn rep with Warsong Gulch is to capture flags — that’s it. Without any boosts to rep gain, via BG holiday weekends or guild perks, it takes 1200 flag captures to gain exalted rep with the Silverwing Sentinels (or Defilers, if you’re a dirty hordie).
Crikey..! That’s a lot of Warsong Gulch battles!
For me… 5 1/2 years worth.
As with the 100K honor kills achievement, Justicar basically says… “I really enjoy PvP”. If you enjoy playing in battlegrounds, then neither achievement is that difficult to obtain — they just take a long time to earn.
Still… I’m quite pleased with this one. In addition to the title signifying my penchant for PvP, it also indicates that I’m a fan of the old school BGs.
Anyway… now that I’ve gained Silverwing Sentinel status… it’s now on to Battlemaster! Apart from defending a few dozen flags in AB, and a few dozen towers in AV, all that stands in my way are: Steady Hands & Resilient Victory. I’m actually pretty close, and I’ve happily discovered that Steady Hands has now been nerfed to a realistically obtainable 2 disarms in one battle (down from the previous five). Considering I’ve managed 3 disarms a few times already, I’d say I’m poised for glory!
Lastly… here’s a screenshot for proof.
Also, I wanted to include this to show a few of the modifications I’ve made to my UI compilation over the past few weeks.
I’ve made all of the unit frames slightly larger – namely the player and target ones. I’ve also tweaked the buff and debuff layouts ever so slightly, and have started using Tidy Plates again. Those are just a few of the many subtle changes.
For those of you who’ve been waiting for an update, I hope to have one up possibly by the end of this week. Sorry to keep you waiting, but I want to be sure I’m finished messing with things before I post an updated version.
